So, I have an electric Kobalt mower and love it, so I was compelled to give this a try. It was pretty terrible. The photos indicate it can be used as an edger, which it cant as there is no snap holes to keep it in place when you adjust the cord end 180 degrees. Also the cord feeder doesn't allow the cord to extend when you press to the ground. So needless to say, I was disappointed.

What really led me to leave this review is the seller. After the first use, I emailed about returning or credit or anything given it wasn't what it was pictured as. No response. Not a word back. Not even a reply to tell me to pound sand. I buy a ton off Amazon and this was certainly my worst experience. Really disappointed and certainly not buying from this company again.

Kobalt built this edge trimmer well. The double string design is well done and is superior to single string designs. The string spool is fairly easy to rewind as well. The only trouble you will have is that the spool lock on the bottom will stick and not always pop back out,due to dirt getting in there and causing it to stick. You have to stop and then pull more string out manually. In my opinion there is not a lot you can do with this. Overall a good quality edge trimmer.

Used once. Worked quite well. Just as I wanted. Impressive power. Far quieter than a gas wacker. Buying off season, I could not readily find this in a store. Good price, but it seems odd that the resaler opened the box and removed the charger/battery. The Amazon listing makes it clear that it doesn't include those items, but it seems an odd thing to do. Presumably there is more profit in selling them separately. My preference would have been to pay the regular price and get the whole package. Not in the cards, apparently.
