Common Issue - Audio Cutout

There is a common issue with these soundbars. The audio will cutout during low volume audio when using SPDIF / Bluetooth (other reviews here and Reddit posts confirm the same). It appears that JBL is unwilling to resolve the issue.

If you are going to use analog, it does not appear to be an issue. But digital inputs are a no-go.

Bad delay, drops voices

This product has a bad delay (a significant fraction of a second) in the audio coming on once sound begins. For instance, the beginning note of a song gets dropped, or the first syllable or two of someone's voice. Any time the sound channel goes quiet and comes back on, this drop-out occurs. There's no reason for a modern sound product to suffer from this kind of bad firmware design.

Always like JBL speakers and this soundbar does not disappoint. Connected very easily to my turntable, and can now enjoy my vinyls with a quality bass sound without the clutter of a boxy bass sub woofer. Agree that the volume is limited which may not please anyone looking to raise the roof, but personally have found the volume level absolutely fine for my purposes, as the sound quality is so good. Can recommend

Die Soundbar ist gut verpackt. Als Techniker habe ich mir das Handbuch nicht angesehen, aber waren nicht nur drei Bilder drauf.
Das Gerät ist gut ausgestattet mit einem HDMI-Anschluss, Optical, USB und auch Bluetooth.
Am Einsatzort wurde die Soundbar mit Optical verbunden. Sie funktionierte sofort und der Fernseher erkannte einen externen Lautsprecher.
Beim verändern der Lautstärke über den Fernseher zeigte sich an der Soundbar eine senkrechte LED-Reihe.
Der Ton ist satt und die höhen klar. Es können verschiedene Ton-Profile eingestellt werden - von Musik über Film bis hin zu Klassik. Auch ein Virtual Surround kann aktiviert werden.
Eine durchaus brauchbare Soundbar.

We purchased this Speaker in Prime Day Deal of 2018. The Product was delivered On time but The Adapter to turn on the Speaker wasn't working and the Speaker didnt turn on. So i contacted JBL and they were like contact Amazon and didnt even offer any technical support. I did chat with Amazon customer Service and they made the process simple and arranged for Replacement order and picked up the Defective one on day of delivery of Defective piece

Coming now to the Speaker specifications

Me and my husband did enormous research in finding a speaker which gives good sound effect, cost effective and accepts all sorts of i/o like HDMI, Optical, USB etc . We decided to buy this for my Mother in law's home and the living room is pretty 16*16 one and any speaker which has least sound effect really doesnt make sense

Installation was pretty easy and connected to the Optical In of TV
Very good Sound effect and remote is highly user friendly and TV source gets auto synced with Speaker
We streamed couple MI3 Movies and they were so acoustically better compared to our previous sound systems and TV volume, The Speaker doesnt occupy any space but compared to the Size TV is so better

We have a BOSE SOLO3 set up for another TV and though we couldn't do any apple to apple comparison which is little unfair, JBL SOUND BAR fares equally well

The Dialogue delivery aspect is very clear and high clarity. Earlier i used to watch Big Boss Shows with volume around 50 but after this speaker set up - i used to listen in volume range of 10-15 . Guess you could note the Difference
