I bought a system from SimpliSafe. The system has some nice features especially a portable keypad. The base would not connect to the keypad until I called tech support and took it apart . The adhesives used are just okay if you are careful. There's a three-day delay to actual monitoring which is probably to see which sensors will come unglued. It's difficult to find out what monthly monitoring costs are and then changes cannot be done online once you sign up. Right now full-featured monitoring and Storage for a camera is $30 a month. Limited monitoring starts at $15/month. Upgraded monitoring is $25 a month and you find out a camera will cost you $5 more for storage after you set it up.

I had ADT, but after hearing good experiences from friends with SimpliSafe I decided to switch. When you buy it, you will receive an email from the company welcoming you. SimpliSafe package arrived one day earlier than the expected date. The product was packaged nicely. I ordered the Haven and on top of it they sent an extra key fob and a camera ( both of these were not included). It took 30 minutes to setup 13 devices. It’s looks nice and modern and very easy to setup. I’m very satisfied with this product, I hope the company will work on making it compatible with other smart home technologies. I will add a follow up feedback after 30 days

Great price from this seller. The package arrived quickly from Simplisafe. Easy to install. Works fine, just remember to flip and lower motion sensors if have big indoor pets. Think could tell between a dog and person by thermal signature, or walking gate of 4 legs?? But it’s good system at an Awesome price point!!!!

Worst security system! No smart functionality. Third party sharing of data.

When I bought a smart security system worth hundreds of dollars my minimum expectation was that the device will be smart and I can at least connect it to wifi and operate remotely.
Guess what! if you are not at home and someone breaks into your home, you would not even get a notification to your mobile phone.

The company charges you over 10% of the device cost per month and only then it allows you to use some of the basic functionality like connecting to mobile app, sending you notification or connecting the device to alexa or google home.

Paying hundreds of dollars and then paying 10% of device cost per month just to push notification to mobil app sounds like a scam.

Especially when their website says no contracts no hidden fees etc.

ok if you do not have cats and need a motion sensor

Simpli Safe is a very simple product to install and setup. Seems to be working fairly well so far(I have only had the system for 2 weeks) however if you have pets yes even cats well under 30LBS and intend on using the motion sensor be warned this is not the system for you. We have 2 cats one is 7.5 lbs and the other is 9lbs. We have the motion sensor at the end of our hallway (we live in a single story ranch) at approx. 7 feet off the floor. The instructions say “Cat Owners: Place the motion sensor so that cats cannot climb near it, button-side up, 6 to 10 feet off the ground”. The highest our cats climb is approx. 5 feet on a cat tree but the cat tree is 20 feet away from the sensor. Yet they still trip the motion sensor. There is also a not about placing in rooms with heating and cooling vents but there are only intake vents in the hall so that is not the issue either. The simple fact is that these sensors do not work as advertised. Now I will have to go and buy several more windows sensors to cover my house and move the motion sensor to the garage where I have no pets let’s just it does not detect spiders or ants as well. I would recommend this system at this point to anyone not using the motion sensors if you have any pets. I would have given this review 3 or maybe 4 stars if it was not for the dishonest advertising. Otherwise this seems to be a good system will check back in a few months with any update. Thanks for taking the time to read this review and I hope it was helpful.

This product was recommended by a family member. It was easy enough for me to set up and so far I have not had to use tech support. The only problem was that I had to use additional double-mounting foam tape for the door units as they fell off with the tape from the manufacturer. One feel off in the middle of the night and set off the alarm. Having owned this product for several months now I would recommend it to others.
