Let's start off with some pros - 1) They look cool, 2) the fit is great - not too loose, not too tight, 3) it's light and comfortable, 4) the battery life is great. 5) pairing is fast and reliable. 6) Bluetooth range is about as good as all the other pairs I have - meaning I can pretty much walk around my townhome and not worry about cutting out unless I get too far away or too close to a window.
So why did I return this? The build quality on the buttons is nothing short of shabby - the buttons are loose and rattly - you can hear audible clicks and jostling around when you move. And no, I'm not doing situps or running marathons with these on my head - just turning your head makes the buttons rattle. It's an annoying dealbreaker.
The thing is, I actually could look past this problem if the sound was amazing, but it's just not - they sound GOOD, sure, but more like a regular competent on-ear bluetooth headphone, not an open-back model. There's a little bit more soundstage and "airiness" than normal, but not much. Even using the included audio cable instead of bluetooth (which admittedly does make it sound a little better) isn't anywhere close to my Grado SR80s, which are less than half the price. Heck, I don't even think they sound as good as my Portapro's which are almost 1/10 the price.
My heart breaks to not like these, especially because the SR80s are my favorite pair of headphones ever. If a v2 ever comes out where they fix the button issue and clean up the sound, count me in. As of now, it's an interesting misfire.
