First, we were introduced to the Marshall Bluetooth speakers at a rental cabin a bit over a year ago and were impressed by the sound and the coolness factor. We did some pricing and decided, eh...we can live without. Fast forward, each of us looking for the gift for Valentines Day, and both landing on the same item, so we co-purchased a Stanmore II. The owners manual that comes with the unit sucks, so my wife dug around online to figure out the pairing. One of the advertised features is the ability to have multiple BT devices connected; we do, but found even with one playing, the other can interfere.

Now the good stuff. The Stanmore II is larger than the one at the rental and is not portable. It is solid, heavy construction, beautifully and carefully crafted, and has really good sound. Really good. The app is lame, but does allow equalizer settings that will hang with the device user. And we don’t have to power up each use. We can wake it with the app.

Overall quite pleased with the purchase. I’m sure there are better rigs for the same dollar figure, maybe, but for sound and appearance, the Marshall Stanmore II is a tough act to beat.

Wow all I can say is fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me!
I bought my first one it worked for 6 months then just stopped working, so I finally tossed in the trash. Just bought another a year later thinking ah mane a fluke I have more money than brains so now I have another one after 1 month just stopped working, I don’t have time mailing stuff in and all that.

Do not buy this you will regret it! And at $350 that’s a lot of money to waisted.

I've only had the Marshall Stanmore speaker for a few weeks. I debated for a while because of the relatively high price but decided to bite the bullet because I already had the Marshall Stockwell portable speaker and the Major II headphones, and really like them. I considered getting the Woburn at a discounted price but after reading reviews, decided it was probably too much for the really small house I live in. Plus, I like the proportions of the Stanmore; it looks great. I'm delighted with the sound of the Stanmore. I put it on a corner stand in my small living room (where I previously had the Stockwell at times). I was immediately blown away by the sound, both volume and quality. I haven't turned it past 7.5 because I don't want to upset the neighbours or hurt my dog's hearing. The bass is deeper and punchier than my full stereo system's old JBL speakers, and the mid-treble range is impressive. Some vocals are spectacular - on Dave Alvin's From an Old Guitar, he sounds like he's right there with you. Full 5 stars for sound, 4 stars for value simply because of the higher price. And it looks fantastic! (I considered the NY Times more favourably reviewed Klipsch but didn't like its looks).

Me considero alguien muy exigente en cuanto a sonido y esta reseña va para las personas que son como yo. Mi decision estaba entre la Sonos 5 y esta bocina, mi preocupación mayor eran los bajos (escucho hip hop, rock y jazz). La Sonos 5 la tiene mi hermano y se que se escucha muy bien pero fisicamente es mucho mas estética la Marshall (simplemente se ve muy bien donde la pongas). Al usar la bocina por primera ves me defraudo muchísimo….. al punto que casi llamo para regresarla. Simplemente no sentí ese “punch” (la conecte directo al bluetooth del celular). Después de haberla ecualizado correctamente a través de la aplicación oficial de Marshall y los dials que trae incluidos fue un cambio radical, al grado de querer pedir otra. La recomiendo al 100%, yo la uso en un cuarto de 5x5 y lo llena completamente sin problemas. Antes de usarla recuerden ecualizarla correctamente para el tipo de musica que les guste.

El producto es más que nada un adorno bonito, la aplicación de marshall bluetooth ,es muy inestable tanto en ios como android, solo que la conexión sea por medio de rca o cable auxiliar, el sonido es muy bueno, no intentes conectar 2 bocina misma marca, mismo modelo porque es imposible, si pueden esperar a que actualizaciones de la aplicación salgan para comprar esta bocina ,servicio técnico de marshall dice que no será pronto, tendrán como yo 2 bonitos adornos
