5.0 out of 5 starsBeautiful card, impressive performance, and decent temperatures!
Reviewed in the United States on April 19, 2020
Coming from the Founders Edition Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 in SLI since 2016 when it first came out, having bought this card and setting up saw significant improvements in performance! Gone are the mild stuttering issues I've had in some games with my Valve Index VR headset when played with the GTX 1080, so this card is great for VR gaming.

RGB lighting adds to the aethetics of your PC setup as well that's controlled by its own software that's available on a provided disc or online. It also looks great and syncs well with my AORUS Z390 Pro WiFi motherboard, so the software is able to control the lighting on both components.

Running under full load with Shadow of the Tomb Raider in all max settings averaging 68 fps in my Acer ultrawide 1440p monitor, the GPU temps peaked at 65°C with the fans manually set at 75%. Other games I've tried had similar results so this card stays cool granted you have a PC case that provides good airflow. Only minor issue I've had about this RTX 2080ti is that the fans can be a little loud, not obnoxious though, at that percentage. But the fans does a decent job keeping the card cool, so I wasn't too sure how other people were experiencing higher temperatures reaching unsafe levels (85°C) unless their PC case is inadequate for decent airflow.

All in all, I'm very impressed with this GPU and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-end GPU with nice aesthetics.

1.0 out of 5 starsNo RGB control and no Gigabyte support
Reviewed in the United States on July 1, 2020
If I would have realized that there is no way at all to customize the RGB on this card I would have not spent the over $1300 on this thing. It seems Gigabyte has had the current version of their RGB controller app for nearly a year now and since that app update was faulty there is no way to controll the RGB or even turn it off. They have made no attempt at all to fix this and it seems they don't care about their customers at all. I have sent numerous emails to their support trying to get this fixed but have not even received any sort of auto responce. If you want a RTX 2080 ti you would be much better off just buying the ASUS model. It does run a little hatter than some but it still has the performance you expect from any 2080 ti. Just skip this one and pick something else, please.

This is a really amazing graphics card. It’s a little over the top but as a PC Enthusiast it is an amazing card. Runs a little hotter than other cards under load but it is so easy to overclock this card. I got mine up to 2150MHz without losing stability and staying around 76 Degrees.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beast. Just beast.

This card may be WAY overpriced (as of 8/20/19, 1,299$, ouch), but other than that, it's still about the best consumer grade card you can get. Beast mode, son! I have it in my Gaming rig with a Ryzen2700 and 16gbddr4, and I haven't played a game yet that it wont play in 4k @60fps on my 55" LG. (Fallout 4, No mans sky, Hellblade: Senuas sacrafice...). IMPORTANT*** Windows 10 for some reason does not recognize the newest 2080ti drivers as the newest. It auto installs one from a year ago and swears it is up to date and I didn't realize this for over a month. I was kind of disappointed before I realized this, but afterwards it was butter. Silky smooth performance. So good. I Also run mine in a vertical configuration, so the RGB leds on the stacked fans are a real treat. Sure, the next card down was WAY less, but if you're as serious about gaming as I am, you need the best for pure immersion. I am in no way disappointing. PS: The price hurts way less if you get your girlfriend to buy it for you. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome card - love the RGB - one small learning hiccup.
Reviewed in the United States on July 16, 2019

I have been wanting to get the RTX2080's since they were announced, I kept waiting for prices to drop, and they haven't really so I finally bit the bullet and picked this up.

I'm replacing a GTX-1080 Founders Edition, and 3D Mark scores are almost doubled. So mission accomplished, I wanted a card that handled 4K gaming better. This is going to handle that just perfectly.

It took me a bit to figure out that the RGB lighting was actually tied to fans being on or not. So don't be like me, if your RGB lighting stops working, it may be because the fans are not on. I fixed this by simply just having the fans run at a low RPM even at low GPU temps.

While I'm not using it, it was also nice they included a GPU stand for those who need it.

I'll update this review later if needed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good aesthetics , below average thermals
Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2019

It took me some time to decide with rtx to go with and I finally settled with the aorus to match my case and mb.

But the thermals scare me and I'm afraid it could shorten its life.
Out of the box the card runs pretty hot around 80 c in closed case while gaming.
After a fan curve 100% at over 70c and with adjusting my case fans I managed to keep it around 70 c at the cost of noise.

The card looks cool and the rgb lighting is innovative but I'd expect more from a card with this premium price on the thermals side.

I'll keep updating this whenever I can and forgive my first review mistakes.

Update 19/06/2020
I managed to successfully undervolt using afterburner curve 1920 mhz @ 875mv which improved the thermals with minimal to no impact on the performance.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Heavyweight of GFX Cards
Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2020

Enough has been written on this card's performance, so I'll focus on just a couple of details.

1. This thing requires the largest case available, such as the Cooler Master HAF-X. Even then, it will take up most of the available space. The power supply is also important (750-watt minimum). Two 8-pin connectors are needed. So if you're running several drives (HDD, CD, DVD, etc), include them in your calculations.

2. The installation DVD does not include the driver, which is kind of strange. All it does it hook to the Internet and downloads the 10GB file. About half-way through the download, it seems to lock up. Move the window in the center of your screen and you'll see a confirmation box, which will continue the install.

3. You may need to boot your computer TWICE after installing the card. At least, I had to.

5.0 out of 5 stars Much card, many expensive.

After doing an obscene amount of research about this card and how it compares to it's 2080 Super, 2070 Super, and 2060 Super little brothers/sisters;
I went with the increased longevity of this 2080 Ti and bit the bullet on the price.

I'll likely be more than able to run any game from now through the next 5+ years at Max settings without a hitch.
The price for this card is greedy corporate highway robbery at it's finest and is unlikely to be reduced for as long as Nvidia controls the market for the foreseeable future.

The price for performance is about 50% more expensive than the 2080 Super with only around a 13% improvement.
But... If you need/want the best graphics card on the market today and have money to burn, this is the one for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Poor Duel Screen Optimization
Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2020

Great card for gaming but as I plugged it and tested some games I noticed that it got significantly hot averaging in early 70s, and idling in the 50s. and the FPS was much below expected, as I only got around 100fps in Warzone, barely above 160fps in overwatch, and similar results in other games at 1440p.
My set up has 2 monitors, 2k for gaming and 4k for productivity.
As I unplugged my 4k gaming all these parameters jumped significantly. even the temp dropped.
If you've got one screen then you should be fine, or if you want to disable your other screen every time you play a game then I guess it's alright.

Arrival - First card I didn't have to rma. Though that's clearly just the lottery.

Setting it up - underestimated how dull the card would look on the regular horizontal motherboard pcie slots. Had to make a mod with a vertical rail. Consider doing this if you can. This card is designed to sit vertically.
Overclocking - Couldn't get a good overclock without 3dmark. Usually just use kombuster and afterburner. But kombuster was kicking the bucket at low memory clock boosts. 3dmark put it at almost 3x what kombuster gave me. First time I ran into that on a card. Got +100 core clock +250 memory clock.

Other notes - comes with a support beam. Overall it feels nice. But the part that touches the card feels like it fastens to the bar weakly. Not that this is a huge negative to the product itself.
