I have owned a Ring Doorbell for several years with zero problems. I was in the market for a security system and looked at other products as well. Most security wireless products are very similar in installation, design, function and equipment cost. Phone apps are quite similar too. The Big difference was the yearly cost of only $100 to have all my equipment monitored regardless of how many cameras, door & window sensors, motion sensors, smoke detectors, CO detectors, water sensors, key pads, etc. that you add to the system. I thought that was a very good deal.
The installation was a snap, easy and fun to do. Their software has a large amount of customizing options for each device and you can easily add "guests" to your system with their own code which you'll be notified with their name when anyone activates their code.
My local police department already was working with the RING people but you should check with yours if you are thinking about adding this to your home or business.
Installation directions are clear and if you need help their phone service people are great and you can understand what they say.

I ordered this system to feel more secure in my home. 30 minutes later, I had a functional security system. I literally went through one by one with each sensor and motion detector, peeling off the tabs and sticking them to the door or wall. The alarm is loud and works as supposed to. So loud that when I was testing it my husband came flying out of the bathroom thinking the house was under attack. The only thing my husband does not care for is the chirp that happens when the system is disarmed and the door is opened. However, if it alerts me to someone potentially entering my house who I don't want their, then he can deal with it.

I rate this a solid 4.5. It's a good value. Easy to install, but does take a little more time than advertised, especially if this is your first time with Ring. WiFi signal is good, but I do have some boosters of my own in the house, along with the one that came with the system. I also added the doorbell and 2 outdoor cameras. My only complaint, they need to include more hardware for the install. My interior wood trim is Craftsman style with thick molding around the doors. The sensor on the door is recessed and does not make good contact with the magnet on the molding. I had to build it up using other materials around the house. I don't like the look.

i had another diy alarm and it was ok. this system seems a lot better and more options and a bigger name behind it. set up was easy, when you pull the battery tab they auto search for the hub so that made it easy. i dont have any other ring products but i think that might change in the coming months
