3.0 out of 5 starsHard to Install Motherboard
Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2021
In general this is a fairly good case, but I have a couple issues:
1. The top does not open and is not removable nor does it offer a removable motherboard tray so if your CPU cooler is very close to the top and you install it before you install the mobo in the case, the top center motherboard mounting screw and to a lesser extent, the top rear is virtually inaccessible. I had to use a parts extractor, a pair of forceps, and a long allen wrench cpu cooler screw driver to get them in. Very painful. Next version they should just put some screws on the top and make the mesh plate removable.
2. There is no clearance below the bottom of an ATX moba so you can't put a multi-slot PCI card there.
3. There are no cable tie downs on the shelf at the bottom of the moba mount--these would generally be used to hold fan cables. I had to use the mesh grid to affix these which was inconvenient.
4. There isn't really enough space in the power supply/3.5" drive bay compartment for both typical power supply cabling and the 3.5" bay AND there is a "lip" that prevents removal of the 3.5" bay directly--you have to either bend it or remove the power supply to get it out. It might as well not be there.
5. The fan mesh on top is set up for 120mm fans, but is too large resulting in gaps. This doesn't matter too much, but I would rather have two fixed fan mounts with no gaps for dust to fall in. The same is true for the rear fan mount.
Things I like:
3 free intake fans, space for 3 more exhaust fans.
Cable management is pretty good with the aforementioned caveat of the missing tie downs on the top od the power supply section.
Nice glass panel so you can see inside without opening it.
I wouldn't recommend buying this until they fix the top so you can get the moba screws in.
