A good ultra light option

Super light, some movement in the collars where the 3 sections connect. Unfortunately one of the carbide tips fell out on the second use and had to use a backup. Have used a wide range of UD products and been very happy, these are a little behind the quality I’m used to from them but over all an ok high end pole for trail running.

Flawed trekking poles, little to no customer support

Got these in January 2021, and did some hiking around Hawaii with them. Firstly, both basket came undone and fell off on two separate occasions, and this is from hiking in muddy terrain. Contacted customer support, and they responded, but never sent me replacement baskets. Strike one. Later, I took them to Mauna Loa, and the tips on BOTH poles sheared right off from the carbon fiber poles. This is from hiking in rocky terrain at a slow pace at high altitude. I’m glad I wasn’t using these for a race, because for poles that were designed by an Ultra running company, these would not hold up at all for any endurance race. I only used them for hiking, and they didn’t even last 8 months!! Stay well away. I’m going back to Black Diamond trekking poles.
