3.0 out of 5 starsNO per-key lighting assignments on this Apex 3 KB - Returning

Returning this. I asked the question prior to purchasing, as I was looking for a membrane KB with individual PER-KEY color assignment. This Apex 3 does NOT have this, despite two contrary answers to my question on that subject. This KB is limited to zone color assignments. I don't see how that would ever be useful except for aesthetics. Anyway, the KB has keycaps which seem slightly smaller than normal, but they may just be slightly smaller relative to the Logitech G910 mechanical KBs I have been using. The feel is actually quite nice. The keys are neither silent nor excessively noisy, like the G910 mechanical switches. Somewhere in the middle. Even if I settle for single color illumination of all keys this KB would not work for me. The entire deck is illuminated from under the keys through a translucent mask, with lots of light visible around each key and row. That is very distracting for me. I love the G910 for its discreet per-key illumination with NO light leakage from around or beneath the keys. Why do I want to replace my G910 keyboards with a cheaper membrane alternative? There seems to be an issue with repeating keys on mechanical keyboards with Windows 11. These keyboards worked great with W7, but with W11 keystrokes randomly repeat, particularly if the intended text is already a repeated key, as in the word "look" or "week." You're as apt to get three or more repetitions of the letter as not. I've run down all I can on this (there's a bunch out there on it), but nothing has worked...except shifting to a membrane KB. I have settled on the wireless Logitech MX Keys keyboard, which has single color (white) illumination and larger flatter keycaps (as you would find on a laptop KB.) I bought this and will revert to using it. I am giving up the chase for a solution to the W11/Mechanical key repeating problem. I've exhausted the options, and I'm giving up on a search for a membrane KB with individual per-key color assignments. Can't have everything, I guess. But I wish someone would resolve the W11/mechanical kb repeating keys issue once and for all.
