DEAD and NO warranty! I purchased this 11 months ago to replace a Samsung Galaxy S3 watch that is still working just fine after 3 years of use. My only complaint about the Samsung is that it is large (a man's watch), so I handed it off to my husband. I wanted something smaller, so I decided on the Fitbit Versa 3.
After 11 months this watch is as dead as a doornail and there is NO way to revive it. I wasn't thrilled with its functionality anyway. Fitbit stripped a lot of the watch's features shortly after I made the purchase. The speaker on the watch is so poor you can barely hear if you receive a call. The Samsung automatically recognized when I was exercising, but not the Fitbit. I had to manually start and stop it.
The real kick in the pants was learning that, even though the watch should still be under warranty, Fitbit informed me that the seller wasn't an authorized reseller. So, BUYER BEWARE! Just because you purchase something on Amazon, it doesn't mean you get the manufacturer's warranty. I paid full price, so I didn't pay attention. It isn't as though it was a cheap gray market item. I guess I should have known this from the tiny fine print. And don't expect any assistance from Fitbit for selling a horrible product. Check out online comments from people who are trying to get their Fitbits to work again. Many are like mine, just stone-cold dead. I am a pretty careful user and the watch is still like new. I simply misplaced the watch for 3 days and it lost its charge during that time. Now it won't recharge. The problem isn't the charger; it isn't the outlet; it is the lousy watch.
My advice is to buy another brand.
