5.0 out of 5 starsFantastic 13 inch laptop!

Super pleased with my purchase of this laptop.

After watching and reading and then watching more reviews, I finally decided to purchase this laptop and have not been disappointed.
The build quality is by far better than any other Windows PC I've ever encountered. In fact, it is very similar to how my Macbook Pro felt.
The keyboard is absolutely fantastic as well and being able to adjust the colors of the keys is never a bad extra to have.

Gaming has been decent on this PC but I don't play a lot of FPS. Most games perform well at Medium settings without many adjustments. You can definitely hit 100+ FPS in some games easily with the right adjustments to your settings.

You can definitely get a laptop with more power for the money but keep in mind that those laptops more than likely won't be in this form factor or have nearly the same level of build quality.

1.0 out of 5 starsRefuses to honor warranty

I have never felt compelled to write a review for any of the hundreds (thousands?) of items I’ve purchased through Amazon, because I’ve been satisfied with almost everything, and the rare times when there’s been a problem, it’s been easy to resolve. So, congratulations Razer! This is my first review.

I won’t repeat what other negative reviewers have said about this laptop, but I will add one additional thing to consider. If any part of this flimsy laptop breaks for any reason, expect to waste 10 days emailing a half dozen “support” people, performing mindless “troubleshooting” that has nothing to do with the problem, and answering the same inane questions multiple times before they decide that you’re not covered by their “one-year warranty” that apparently excludes everything that could possibly happen. Basically, the assumption is that if anything breaks, the only explanation is “customer-induced damage”. (Or acts of God, fire or earthquakes, but I feel like those things were appended just to keep the lasers happy…) I went out of my way to suggest easy solutions that would have cost almost nothing, but Razer refused to even consider fixing the laptop under warranty, even though the problem was clearly a defect.

Don’t waste your money on this laptop.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everything that I wanted
Reviewed in the United States on November 27, 2020

I bought the 120 hz 1080p monitor and I have been using it for a while now and I really enjoy the laptop.
I have been using MacBook for almost a decade now but I decided to switch back to Windows after the Catalina update disaster (didnt support 32 bit applications anymore and other reasons). I have used other Razer products before (Core, Blackwidow, Deathadder Elite, Viper Ultimate) and I have been really happy with my purchases, even though they sure have been some a tad more expensive, they have been worth it and durable, really satisfied.

I decided to go for this Razer instead of others laptops for some reasons which I will list below.
1. Aluminum unibody. After using MacBooks for so much time, I don't mind paying some extra dollars for a unibody build since it gives it a premium quality feeling.
2. Thunderbolt support. This is a huge reason I went with this one over other laptops like the ASUS Zephyrus 14 because I sometimes use an EGPU.
3. 13 inches. For me this is the perfect size because it is not heavy and does not take too much space.
4. Good for gaming with great battery. I don't really play the huge AAA titles so I don't need that much juice like an exclusive gaming laptop gives, I just want enough to play some games when I'm bored, like CSGO, horror games, and new titles that come out that don't demand too much. I am not a hardcore gamer, I use my laptops for working mostly so I have decent battery lives (actual gaming laptops give maybe 2-3 hours), and I can game on it when I want to. For me it was the perfect combination.
It was pricer than others but considering for what I wanted it, it fulfilled my expectations and I would definitely choose this one again. No regrets.

4.0 out of 5 stars Take this for what it is: an absolutely fantastic casual gaming laptop

I've seen lots of trash in the reviews, complaining that this laptop is not an absolute beast of a powerhouse, but people are ridiculous and deluded. For what this aims to be, a casual gaming laptop with beautiful aluminum unibody design, it excels. A bit pricey, yes (I think they could shave 100 USD from the price), and the battery life is, well... it's a gaming laptop. But it's excellent for what it's supposed to be.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Stealth Yet

Razer has been refining the Steath year over year to the point where the 2020 Blade Stealth OLED is now one of the best all around ultra books on the market. This is an excellent ultrabook that has great build quality, is light weight, and very power for its size will running cool and maintaining reasonable battery life. The OLED display is beautiful and the very low pixel response time makes it great for gaming even if the panal is limited to 60hz. The 11th gen Intel Tiger Lake CPU is another welcome upgrade over the previous 10th gen Ice Lake CPU which sometimes felt underpowered.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for my needs

Love the portability of this laptop. I have this laptop as a portable backup and editing rig. Fits the needs of going out of town for the weekend and knowing I have a capable computer. With side gaming of course. I updated it with a 2TB drive, and made it even better. For reference, I use an Alienware desktop and laptop for my main work, I work as a photographer and cinematographer.

The laptop is amazing, if you’re looking to play hardcore games at high fps it’s probably not for you. But portable gaming this thing is perfect. It runs games at medium settings at 120hz for me which is exactly what I want. I bought the computer used and am very happy with it. It’s also great because it doesn’t look like a gaming laptop it’s just sleek.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cool computer, but outclassed by many others
Reviewed in the United States on February 8, 2022

Great processor, great display, and good specs ASIDE from the GPU. Any NVIDIA GTX series GPU is outclassed by countless present gaming laptops that cost similarly to this. Of course, I think this was primarily meant to be paired with the Core X eGPU to boost the graphics, but if you can't crack 60 FPS on a current AAA title like Halo Infinite with all settings turned to low, is it truly a good value? I would argue that it isn't.

Build quality is good. As are all the specs outside of the GPU. If that doesn't bother you, and your games are things like League of Legends, Rocket League, or older titles, you'll be just fine, and this will be a great ultrabook for you. If not, take a look at the Razer Blade 14, which is just a little bit bigger and around $1799 and has RTX 30 Series graphics (though lacks upgradeability of RAM), or the ASUS ROG Zephyrus which will be lower build quality, but be less expensive and have some limited RAM upgradeability. Ultimately, I ended up just building a desktop computer. The only laptop I feel can be justified is one with a RTX 3070 or higher, and those tend to be just so much more expensive than a desktop. So for the time being, I dumped my money into a desktop build, and I may look into a gaming laptop if I start going out and about again. Or maybe I'll just get a Steam Deck lol. Who knows.

2.0 out of 5 stars I ended up return this for the Asus G14. Gaming laptop created for niche market - the casual gamer
Reviewed in the United States on November 25, 2020
Capacity: LaptopStyle: 1080p | 120Hz | 512GB SSDVerified Purchase
My review is on the 1080p 120Hz version. I purchased this laptop with my own money so no sponsored review, just fyi.

I work as Web Developer. I use a MacBook Pro for all of my dev projects just because I like using MacOS for development. However, I've been in the market for a personal laptop that had to have 3 characteristics :

1. Small footprint- This laptop is the perfect size for those who don't want to carry around a 15.

2. Quality build - You have to give credit where it's due. Razer developed an awesome unibody design. It feels premium, and it doesn't scream "gaming laptop".

3. Something I can game on - The Blade 13 isn't going to give you the highest fps that a desktop or that other gaming laptops will give you, but it surprised me. I was actually expecting it to lag or have very low fps when playing Call of Duty - Modern Warfare. When I was playing Multi-player, I was easily hitting as high as 110fps and as low as 85 fps. When playing Battle Royale, my fps didn't hit as high but averaged between 88-90fps. It was very surprising that this little 13 inch Ultrabook was able to push out those fps. I also didn't experience any ghosting. I also played some less graphically intense games such as Overwatch as well and it runs very smooth.

This laptop definitely isn't for the hardcore competitive gamer. It's for the casual gamer. If you're looking for a very portable laptop to take with you anywhere, but also has the ability to game, then definitely check out the Blade 13.

--Update--
I ended up return this for the Asus G14. Hands down, the Asus G14 is the better performing laptop. Here's what made me choose the G14 instead:

1. Performance to Price ratio - G14's Ryzen 9 4900HS paired with the 2060Max -Q absolutely destroy the Razer in terms of performance. The G14 is also available thru Bestbuy for $1,049.00. I'd rather play less money for better performance. The extra money you're paying out for the Razer is just for the brand.
2. Cooling - I am getting about 10C cooler temps on the G14 in comparison to the Razer. I'm assuming this will lead to better longevity.
3. Keyboard - The G14's keyboard is much more responsive and an overall better typing experience. The backlighting is a little weird since it makes the keys harder to see, but I don't using my laptop in the dark.

2.0 out of 5 stars IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING, YOU SHOULD PROBABLY READ THIS.

Was very excited to finally hop on the Razer train and try out this laptop. I got it for what I thought was a pretty decent price for a portable machine on a Black Friday deal! I've established a list of Pro's and Con's below and if you are considering looking at this laptop PLEASE READ!
Side Note: (the only games I play are League of Legends and World of Warcraft which do not require much fire power, but did test out some shooters like Fortnite and COD)

Pros:
OK Graphics card for the price (definitely wish it was a 20 or 30 series)
Good OS (Newest Intel card ATM)
Good RAM (16 GB even though sometimes it felt very busy)
Stealth Look is very nice for work place settings

Cons:
Cooling system is a FAILURE (Over heats constantly and left palm can barely touch the system, bottom has practically no cooling either.)
Classic Razer Problems with finish needing to keep micro fiber cloth on you 24/7
Battery life 3/10 (Will last one match or game and die mid into 2nd on multiple online Games, maybe 2 hours off charger?)
the 16 GB of ram would usually be enough to stream and play but Frame Rate constantly drops when any game is active with Stream labs OBS open.

Final thoughts:
If you are looking for a casual laptop for work/play and are not looking to be competitive in gaming or streaming, this laptop could be a very nice portable beginner option. However; I do not believe a beginner option should start at this price tag, but Razer will do what Razer will do! Overheats to a point where it is uncomfortable to the touch is also a huge turnoff, maybe the larger razer systems have bigger or more fans and better ventilation?

Final Score: 4/10
