I need a reliable computer for basic home office use. LG always stood for quality for me. In April of 2023, I bought two of these computers, one for me and one for my husband We're both respectful computer users, no rough stuff. The first thing that went bad on mine was the headphone jack. First it wouldn't work on Zoom, then it wouldn't work at all. This is not good when your son sleeps late and your meeting is early. Then my Microsoft scanning app stopped working. His didn't. Then, the volume control on my computer decided that anything louder than a whisper was too loud, so even at top volume, it is too quiet. Since my headphones don't work, it's all I've got. Meetings are not easy. Listening to anything is not easy. It has no touch screen. The keyboard is not particularly comfortable or responsive. It's very flat to help make the computer impressively thin. When you do a lot of typing, thin isn't your first priority. It has good qualities. It's fast. the display is big and attractive. If it was fully functional, I wouldn't complain, but I don't think I'd buy one again. I'll have to wipe the drive and send it in to Amazon to repair using my extended warrantee. I'm understanding that I'll be without it for several weeks. I have my old Tosheba (they don't even make them any more) that still works after maybe 15 years. It is exceedingly slow, but everything still operates as it should. I didn't anticipate another 15 years from LG, but I thought I'd do better than nine months.
