2.0 out of 5 starsGood drone but even if it's not the pilots fault, dji will not cover crashes

The quality of the drone is very high for the most part. The problem is, the drone can crash itself and DJI will not cover it under warranty even if they admit it was not pilot error.
The drone technically can fly without GPS but its a bad idea. This means flying indoors is a huge and stupid risk, but even while outdoors, without warning the GPS signal can become weaker and the drone starts drifting. When it starts drifting, you have to correct it to avoid it hitting things, but then it can also repeat all your correction inputs at once and send it as fast as possible in the opposite direction sometimes causing a crash. I've seen it happen multiple times to DJI drones and that is including drones with collision detection so that will not save you from this issue either. The collision detection drones also don't have cameras on the side or rear so you can still easily crash them even when functioning normally anyways.
When it happened to me outdoors, it was damaged by the crash. I sent it to DJI and they refused to cover it under the warranty. They claimed the crash was caused by "compass interference" and not pilot error. They claim that the drone was functioning normally. Even if its compass interference, that doesn't change the fact the drone flew itself into a building at rapid speed causing the damage. I was flying straight and slowly between the same 2 buildings (about 100ft apart btw) I flew between earlier with no issue. It started drifting to the right towards one, I tilted the stick a little bit to avoid this, then it suddenly flew hard in that direction and crashed into the opposite building
They charged me $190 and refused to cover the defect under the warranty
So basically they admit their drones can stop responding to controls, and then randomly fly off and they won't take responsibility.
If you're just filming landscapes in open air, you'll be fine except for take off. Be careful on take off.
If you fly in a city, or use it to do roof inspections, and see any signs of GPS signal issues, the drone randomly drifting or crashing itself is a big possibility
And don't even dare fly it indoors. I've seen youtubers fly theirs indoors in beginner drone videos, but do not do it.
