I’ve never been a fan of Apple Watches. While I do have Apple everything else I never saw the point of having it.
I have used a name brand fitness watch for years. After it was bought out by this other large company, I didn’t quite like the new interface. Not to mention I no longer had my friends since they would have needed to change over to the new interface and no one else did. Hence I decided to get this watch. I was really only concerned with keeping up with my health information, specifically my steps.
I cannot begin to express my absolute disappointment when I figured out I can’t set a step goal. I can set a distance goal, a calorie goal, I think an activity goal but not a step goal. Why not step goal? To me that makes absolutely no sense because in my opinion, that’s what people want to keep up with.
On top of that, in order for your steps to show up on your watch face (without having to go to the activity app), you have to download a pedometer app. I thought that was just ridiculous. So while I am now able to see my steps by just flicking my wrist so the screen lights up and it’s on my clock screen, I can’t set it as a goal. I would like to see a step ring close. It’s just so disappointing.
I do like the other health features though. I am hoping in the future that they will include steps as a goal.
And oh! Let me not forget about the poor battery life. It is awful! I have to basically charge EVERY DAY! There have been times when I didn’t realize it had died. There should be low battery warnings or something.
I honestly don’t really care about the other features.
