Pros and cons please read. I bought these bc I am a tech support for several hospitals and need a good bluetooth. Only had for a few days but.... 1st off I was driving to work going 40mph with my window down when my mom called me. She said "well I guess your already at work" I asked why and she said "because I don't hear the wind or traffic ". Feq days later I'm going down the interstate going 60mph with my window cracked about 2 or 3 inches (enough to hear the wind sound) my mom said "it's kinda early for you to be home ". Told her I was driving down the interstate and she thought I had my windows up. Now the batter does not last as long as my old Samsung flex. However I let the battery drain and plugged them up with the cable provided to use them as wired headphones.... works with a dead battery which is awesome I have talked to my son and my sister in different environments and both said they could not hear the background noise. I use my headphones all day for shows, media, or music so I can say they last a solid 10 hours. Anything after that I use the provided cable for a wired headset and still get the call quality, audio quality, and mic quality. My customers even asked if I moved my office for "on call" bc they don't hear anything. Personally I wish they had better battery life but the fact I can turn them into wired headsets after the batter dies is amazing and very helpful. I will deal wit shorter battery for that.

It's great most of the time but there's a few major flaws

I've owned this headset for several months now and I run a lawn care business so I use these all day everyday. First off the pros: sound quality is amazing and very clear, the battery life is better than advertised and I can easily get through a 16 hour work day of full noise cancelling and nearly continuous use. Bluetooth is great and always keeps a stable connection up to 30 feet away. The cable storage feature is nice and I've even gotten used to having the buttons on the headset instead of on a remote. The earbuds are comfortable and my ears don't hurt even with having them in for hours on end. The noise cancelling is great and works better than OSHA approved earplugs. Having Google Assistant to read my texts and notifications is very helpful for me since I can leave my gloves on and text people back with my phone still in my pocket. Also the app is really nice for setting up the headset to meet your individual needs as far as noise cancelling and adjusting the equalizer just how I like it.

The cons: these do not do well in the wind. They somehow magnify the sound of the wind unless you have something covering them like the hood to a jacket. The microphone isn't great and people often have a hard time hearing me when I'm on the phone using the headset. Also the battery level on the app isn't accurate and the headset itself only tells you low medium or high for the battery level. And the headset dies at 20% battery life. There's also no warning the battery is getting low and the headset quits playing music then says "please recharge headset" and dies.

All in all this is a great headset and worth every penny and I would certainly buy again, just hope Sony will address the wind issue, microphone issue, and battery life indicator

Decent noise canceling and battery life but disappointing overall

I am a long time user of LG bluetooth earbuds, of this style and overall they have worked pretty well, but I needed something with noise cancellation for a new job that has a lot of constant ambient noise, and these definitely help a lot in that department. Unfortunately when I try to make a phone call the mic picks up everything in the vicinity and passes it on to whoever is on the other end of the line. It's something that Bluetooth headsets are notorious for, but these are particularly bad about it, which seems a little absurd considering that they are "noise canceling" (yes, I realize that's not the noise they're talking about, but still). For comparison I can have a more or less normal conversation in the same environment with my LGs. Also, the earbuds just hang loose when they're not in your ears. They do not retract and there is nowhere whatsoever to store them to keep them out of the way, which means they're constantly getting caught in clothes, lanyards, seat belts, etc. and as a result are often difficult to access when I'm trying to put them in my ears to answer a call. Pretty disappointing for a product with a MSRP of 3 bills. On the up side, I get around 14 hours of listening to ebooks on a charge and with the largest tips the earbuds stay in my ears better than any of my LG's did. They do use the older micro USB charging port however which is inconvenient now that the world has moved on to usb-c. Overall they're good enough considering that I paid a little over half of retail for them, which is still pretty expensive and they leave a lot to be desired. I find myself swapping back to my old LG's as soon as I don't need the noise canceling that these provide, especially for phone calls. Unfortunately there don't seem to be a lot of noise canceling options from known quality brands and their prices are all high, so I can't say that these are a "do not buy" if you can get them for what I paid, but definitely not at full sticker.

With the buttons or volume. No lack of battery using the device all day. The cords stay straight and can be tucked into the headset, although not automatically retracted. If they last over a year, I would purchase a replacement set without pause.

Some irks:

--- earphone tips -even the smallest one provided in the package was too big for me and kept dropping off.
--- still struggling to get hang of the buttons on the neck band

These have a great sound. I'm not a fan of in ear audio as I find the earpiece normally falls out or I have to push in hard and they make my ears ache after 30 mins. These are OK. I wear them on a 3 hour walk and I have no problems with them staying in. The noise cancelling isn't brilliant but it's good enough to make me able to concentrate on the music. I don't notice the neckband either while wearing them. I like the option of a cable to use on planes as well.

I own this product for over a year now and can say that it is one of the best wireless headphones that owned. Sound quality is superb - you can hear both low and high beats clearly and with clarity. I used it multiple times during the flight and it's noise cancelling works superbly and you can listen to the songs /audio very comfortably. I really liked this feature most. Also, calling the phone and attending the calls is equally good. Yes, it can be compared with Bose but you need to also keep the price of the item in mind, as later is best but highly costly as well.

Though Battery life is good but could be improved is found the downsize and hence rating it 4.
