Great headphones! Take note about a few retail versions being sold!
This review is specific to a 3rd party prime seller being offered for just under two hundred bucks.When it arrived the unit had 0 battery level, not even enough to tell me the battery was low. The packaging is the same as seen in unboxing videos from 5+ years ago. That being said nothing was included beyond a USB-A cable and the Nuraphone in a hard shell case. In the review unboxing videos all the additional cables were external to the main device packaging. This leads me to believe that these are NOS (new old stock) units.To further establish the age of these units a "G2" update was released in July 2018, which adds ANC and other features. This update was NOT installed on the unit I received. This means the headphone received is most likely 5 years or older. This adds up to the battery level being 0 as batteries will slowly drain over time.Comparing the as received NOS unit vs the current retail packing:The Nuraphone can be easily updated via the app to the current firmware making the two retail versions the same for the headphone itself. The only things that can be compared are the additional items between the two versions. The current retail box includes ear tips, usb-a, aux cable and a soft shell case. The as-received NOS unit includes usb-a cable and hard shell case.Per the Nurasound website retail costs of the cables are roughly $20 each, eartips $10, soft case $20 and hard case $40. That means the current retail version has about $70 worth of additional items and the old unit has $60. The price difference is currently $50 between the two versions as of writing this.So what does the above mean? It means you will need to decide what additional accessories are important to you. The hard-shell case is REALLY nice. I'd never go out and spend $40 on it alone, but having it included vs the soft case is preferable to me. I'd never use the aux cable included with the current retail config, but do want the ear tips and a usb-c cable. So for me getting the NOS unit for $50 less than the current price of the new retail config works for me. It means I can go to Nurasound's website and order the usb-c cable and eartips for around $30 plus ~$5 shipping.As far as the Nuraphone they fit me very well and for the two hundred price tag they are well worth it. The NOS version charged up fully via the included usb-a cable and self-updated without any issues. The updates do take a long time to complete at around 20 minutes each with a total of two needed. For anyone buying these NOS units MAKE SURE to charge the headphone for several hours prior to using to make sure you have enough charge for both updates to apply.

Absolutely love these. I saw them on Kickstarter back when I was broke, knew I wanted to try em ever since, and when DankPods made his video on them I just had to try them. Well, I did, and they’re awesome. The app setup can take a bit of time and needs a near-silent environment (my left ear tip I also never got to seal properly) but when it’s set up, it’s great. The bass slider is super fun, the personalized sound is amazing even if the basic EQ is subpar, and I really like that I can turn it to max volume and the bass won’t just cover over the rest of the sound. I didn’t even notice the noise cancelling was ever on, that’s how good it is. Transparency mode is also fantastic. Overall, 9.6/10.

If you want clear notes from the low notes (bass) to the mids and highs, this headset is the end all. The clarity is awesome and the quality of the sound is actually really surprising. I really didnt expect these to sound as good as they do, they make normal headphones seem flat and weak.

The build quality is crazy good, they are definitely worth the price. The app works really well too. The automatic on/off works seamlessly, I thought Id want a power button but I really like this setup.

Only downside is they do start to slip off ur head when you look down. If you are doing a lot of chores then you might get annoyed, but Im really tall and constantly looking down so maybe thats my problem. The other thing is, by nature, they arent too comfortable for hours of use. I find myself having to take them off for a few minutes every few hours but you only need a few minutes break in between an hour of use, I also got a wide head so Im sure I get annoyed before narrow heads.

The battery life is very impressive as is the noise cancelling. The noose cancellation is on par with Bose noise cancellation, except their super expensive models.

I know the price is high but for real don’t wait, you will not regret it. I felt guilty when the money came out my account but once I started to use these, I felt really really happy with my purchase.

1. There is no equalizer. There is some kind of custom program that automatically checks your ear profile. It didn't work well for me. I needed equalizer and the app doesn't have it.
2. Also, with ear tips going to ears, the fit is very uncomfortable. And no other sized tips provided. At all. Just 1 set of their large tips. After 10 mins, my ears started to get weirdly warm. And tired.
3. The charging port is some kind of proprietary format. Not standard. Using USB- C would be 100 times better. What if I lose their proprietary cable? This was a big No for me.
4. Noise canceling is a joke. My old Bose qc35 have real noise canceling. These headphones have almost no noticeable noise canceling. Weird.

I had high hopes for these headphones. Very disappointed.

The reason these are so strange looking is because they are not only over ear headphones, they also have a piece that goes in your ear canal. The piece that goes in your ear is where the high and mid notes come from, the bass comes from the cup portion.
One of the coolest features about these headphones is that they create a personal sound profile by analyzing how you hear different sounds. To the personal sound profile, just follow the directions in the app. After you create the sound profile, you can switch from a flat equalizer profile (normal) to your personal sound profile, you can also play around with the bass boost (immersion).
In the app, you can also set up other features of the headphones.
The sound quality of these is really good. Since the high and mid notes come from the ear tip, and the bass notes come from the surrounding earcup, you get really good note separation.
Two of the main downfalls of these headphones is, they don’t fold up so transportation of these isn’t easy, and if you are wearing a winter hat or something that covers your ears, you cannot wear these.

Okay! So, these have been on my watchlist for a while and when I saw them for 50% off I had to immediately grab them! But personal experience aside, let’s get the annoying(kinda) stuff out of the way.
1.) no physical buttons. For me? A turnoff. I like control and having AI do all the on/off stuff for me while really cool isn’t really necessary.
2.) comfort. Generally these are pretty comfy (considering the earbuds jammed in your ear but I wear IEMs alot so it doesn’t bother me too much) but even so at times I can definitely feel a bit discomfort wearing these for a long time.
3.) they’re heavy. And this is a double edged sword. It’s a good thing but also a bad thing depending on how well heaviness affects your ability to wear them for a long time.

Now, on to the good stuff.

1.) sound quality is pretty good. Not great, not amazing and definitely subjective(to a point) but for me these turned out quite good, and I’m happy with the result. Now albeit the default pre user created sound profile it’s pretty awful(probably on purpose to hype up your own personalised profile to sound better than it is but I digress).
2.) the noise isolation alone is fantastic and add in the noise cancellation on top and not much is getting through to you when wearing these and definitely not when listening to music.
3.) they just look good (on your head not when you are just looking at them because they’re a little freaky looking.
4.) an all around fun experience.

At this current price point (50% off) these are a must get. At full price I’d be more hesitant to tell you only if you’ve done your research but for this discount it’s well worth the shot!

Cons: would be not very comfortable and noise canceling isn't that great but you do get an amazing social mode.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I bought these headphones but they have met any expectation. I made some rookie mistakes setting up, I mistakenly left a cable in, got mixed up between left and right and I struggled to get a good ear contact on setup.
However when I got everything right the sound turned out to be awesome, deep bass even when not over emphasized, really nice mids and clear highs, very nice for home use, my music is rock folk and classical.
I use Nuraloops for travel or portability so best of both worlds for me.
