So far so good. I received the drive and it's nice and small. I'm using it as a backup on my main desktop. I had to format it first but no big deal. If you receive it and it doesn't show up on your menu then use disk management to initiate it and assign a drive letter. It's fast and takes up little space. A great buy for the money.

Bought in January 2018. I tried to clone my HD to this HDD and failed. Finally got back to trying this HDD again in Nov 2018. Cloning failed again, so I tried to reformat the drive and that failed. Wrote to Western Digital/HGST and they said check using WinDFLT Quicktest. I got "Fail - unknown element failure". So I tried the RMA process which required checking the HDD serial number and result was Invalid Serial so I cannot do a RMA to get it replaced.

Bum deal from SmartDealz. I got a paper weight only.
