I was originally deterred by the cost of the FitBit. "There has to be a cheaper alternative." I tried 3 different generic health trackers, all with decent reviews, seemingly "just as good" as a FitBit. After returning the last one I finally caved and bought the FitBit.
Here's why it's better and worth paying $100+ more than a generic.
+ Real Time Heartrate monitor - (other trackers claim 24/7 Heartrate monitor, but it's not real time, it updates every 1-5 minutes)
+ Comfort - (no typical metal watch clasp digging into the underside of your wrist, it's all soft smooth silicone, they also put the button on the arm side of the watch so you're not accidentally hitting it when you flex your wrist. The whole thing is pleasant enough to forget I'm wearing it)
**UPDATE** I've been wearing this for a couple weeks now and have developed an awful rash all around my wrist. The band is snug and not breathable at a. I believe it just traps moisture and sweat underneath it. I spent $9 and switched to a stretchy nylon breathable band. So far so good. Much easier to get on and off, much more comfortable (soft stretchy cloth.)
+ Size - (this goes with comfort, but it's the size of a normal watch, despite some of the pictures making it look HUGE. I didn't want a tablet on my wrist and this is just right.)
+ The app - (the app offers SO MUCH functionality, from food logging, detailed exercise and sleep patterns, tons of customizations, and tons more. It's clearly the most functional app available. Whatever you want to focus on there's a way to set your watch up to do it.)
**UPDATE** +I'm adding a plus for the sleep tracking feature too. I never considered how nice this information would be to have, but you just nodnlff with this on and wake up to your entire sleep stats.
Those are the main pros that mattered to me. Then when you consider that a nice, stylish, quality watch costs $200 anyway, it really helped justify the spend.
After owning this for a short time is clear why FitBit is the leader in fitness trackers/wearables. They do everything right.

Upgrade from versa 2
After comparing the versa 3 to the versa 4 to replace my versa 2 , I opted for the versa 3 as it had more features I was looking for that they ended up dropping with the versa 4.All of their standard bands agitate my skin so I have to buy fabric ones.The (only) side button on the watch isn't actually a button. Which does prevent it from taking in water, but makes it harder to "push" the button as it's actually just rubber or silicone over what seems to be a hole in the side of the watch.The sleep tracking is questionable. I can fall asleep for 8 hours wake up in the exact same position and this sleep tracker will break my night into 3 sections? Saying I was awake several times. Unless I'm sleep walking (which my husband denies) then im assuming this thing is very confused.On the plus side, I love the find my phone features.I wear this watch mainly bcuz I can't check my phone at work and won't check it at home. The text messages (and calls) come across the watch face with a vibration to get my attention. I can see whether they require my immediate attention or not. I can also auto reply wity basic pre set responses of my choosing.I find the step tracking to be more accurate on this version then the versa 2. Alot of hand movements can trigger a Fitbit to record steps that aren't occuring. I've noticed that with the versa 3 I'm not breaking 10k steps a day anymore. Tho I haven't changed my habits.It does however pick up false steps in abundance when one say, rides a four wheeler or motorcycle. Imagine my humorous state when I get off a 90 min Alaskan 4 wheeler ride to see I've walked 17,000 some odd steps....I don't have Spotify I have Amazon music. Which this watch does not accommodate.Strange since it has Amazon Alexa built in but not prime music. I'm not paying for a second music streaming service so I'm unable to test this feature.

First I am extremely impressed with this device. Enough to continue to ware my Apple Watch on one hand and the Fitbit Versa 3 on the other. Please read the entire review, I explain why. Love the device and I highly recommend as an alternative, or addition to the Apple Watch.
Pros:
Nice screen size
Provides more Health related data than my current Apple Watch Series 4. For the series 6 this may not be true.
Very well made, looks and feels great when properly adjusted to your wrist. (See Cons)
True 6 day Battery life! (depending on use and activity level of course)
Monitors your Heart rate constantly and oxygen saturation while sleeping
Monitors your sleep - Lets yo see how long you were in each stage of sleep
Motivates you with reminders so help you create healthier habits Like getting up and moving frequently and drinking more water
The app provides great information for your daily activity such as Steps during the day, how many floors you traveled. Miles you walked in the day and how many calories you burned during the day.
Love the screen that breaks down your cardio zone minutes.
Will provide notifications to you from other apps on your phone.
You can also use this watch to connect with Alexa and give voice commands to control any Alexa controlled devices thought the watch to the Fitbit Versa 3
You can move the pairing of the fit bit from one device to another without loosing any collected data and without having to reset the watch!
Easily connects to phone Via Bluetooth
This Fitbit provides so much information if you are serious about being more healthy using this to track trends in your daily activity will definitely help you to improve. If it had more functions I would use it to replace my Apple Watch.

You need to pay for an app to install additional watch faces.
You do not get all functions when paired with an iPhone, there are additional functions available
You can not accept phone calls with this device when paired with iPhone. This may be available with other smart phones.
The watch band is very similar to the Apple Watch band but is harder to put on and take off with a single hand. Be sure to use the correct size band, it comes with a regular and large band. if you use the incorrect one it may pinch or irritate your skin. Once I put on the large band it was very comfortable.
Conclusion:
The Pro's far out weight the cons with me. I will not use this to replace my Apple Watch however I will continue to use both. I do wish I had a single device that would provide all the functions that the combination of my Apple Watch 4 (I will not upgrade at this time) and this Fitbit Versa 3 provide. The price for what you are getting is not bad but still may be a bit much for the average person. If you are serious about your health and really would like a great device that will provide you with additional information that an Apple Watch will not, I highly recommend this device.

Pros:
- La batería dura 6+ días si no tienes activada la función de detectar ronquidos o de SPo2 en la noche.
- Se carga por completo en un par de horas.
- El tamaño del cuerpo del reloj no es intrusivo o exagerado y es bastante liviano hecho en aluminio.
- Puedes cambiarle las bandas y personalizarlo.
- La pantalla se lee bien en cualquier tipo de iluminación.
- GPS integrado, funciona sin el teléfono.
Cons:
- Para varias funciones necesitas tener una suscripción mensual.
- Funciones avanzadas como detectar ronquidos, conteo de SPo2 y GPS acaban con la batería en 2 días.
- El tamaño de las bandas es o muy pequeño o muy grande.
- Las bandas originales están muy caras como para la calidad o diseños que ofrecen.
- Configurarlo a través de la app puede ser confuso.
- La selección de apps (se accede por la app) es muy limitada.
