i bought theses seeing they were on sale, excited to open it and i noticed the box wasn’t wrapped, i thought it was weird and continued anyways and i see the case was dirty as if these were used continuing to open the package and take a look at the headphones i see white flakes all over the ear cuffs as if there were traces of dandruff or something. DO NOT BUY THESE, i would much rather pay full price for the real deal then these used ass headphones

These headphones transported me into the music. The sound was brilliant and they worked much better than I could ever imagine. They felt so soft and were quite easy to use. Sadly, I have a jaw disorder and the type of fit simply caused too much pain, so I had to return them. This is fully my own issue and they aren’t actually tight or uncomfortable in general. If I didn’t have TMJD, I don’t think I’d ever take these off. I felt like I was in my own wonderland. I miss them all of the time.

Excellent noise cancelling, and comfortable enough to wear on 12 hour flights. But I primarily use them at home for listening to music. Audio from a 24 bit source can be streamed to the headphones at 24 bit when using an LDAC compatible phone. I stream from Amazon HD and Tidal to my Pixel 6a phone paired with the Sony headphones. The headphones integrate well with the phone music players, including pausing play and turning off the headphones if you take them off (this is an optional setting). I find they work well for phone calls too. And I don't miss any calls when wearing them since the music pauses for incoming calls.

I have the Sony WH-1000XM3 that I love but the left side keeps going out (they’re old and I have used them a lot) so I decided to upgrade to the WH-1000XM4. They sound wonderful but power off when laying down (something the XM3 model does not do). I would recommend getting the XM3 or skip to the latest model. As an aside, there are many who are experiencing this issue based on a simple internet search so this is not an isolated problem.

These are more expensive than both of my son's noise cancelling headphones put together, but I love them, and you get the Sony build quality and sound quality to boot. They are exceptionally comfortable for long periods. Easy to connect to iPhone and iPad, they last for ages on a charge, to the point that I keep losing the cable as I charge them so infrequently.

Great on a plane where the constant noise ruins listening through conventional headphones. Noise cancelling does not cut out all noise, so you can still hear the wife shouting at you, but not her snoring, which is excellent when listening to music in bed.

The app is very good and so is playing with the settings of the EQ as I think they are set up by deaf music haters in the factory. The ability to fine tune the EQ them is so completely essential to get a sound that you are happy with. I am extremely particular with how my music sounds, being a musician and studio producer. Over hyped bass and muddy treble does not cut it for me.

There are other complicated features that you can enable, but to be honest, I could see much difference and therefore the point.

Touch control on the ear pads is very useful, changing volume, pausing, etc. Mic quality is easily good enough to make and receive phone calls whilst on a walk, and you can invoke Siri to do your bidding.

These were bought to replace an earlier model that I had had for years, that I managed to sit on, and break the swivel joint at the side of the headphones which allows you to collapse them down to put in a case. I fixed it with epoxy and gaffer tape and then I think I left them somewhere and, bye bye headphones. These are pretty much exactly the same, although I did have to fiddle extensively with the EQ and suffer all kinds of over thinking before settling back to normal life and music appreciation.

Worth the extra money? Read the reviews, read other reviews outside of Amazon... yes, they're worth it. Just don't sit on them or lose them.

In der Angebotswoche am 24.11.23 für 209 Euro bestellt und wie ich eben beim Sichten meiner Bestellhistorie festgestellt habe, wurde der Vorgänger vor vier Jahren und sieben Monaten (24.03.2019) ebenfalls bei Amazon bestellt. Der XM3 war damals deutlich teurer 279 Euro, weil regulär und nicht im Angebot gekauft. Ich benutzte diesen Kopfhörer in den vergangenen vier Jahren und sieben Monaten täglich auf dem Weg zur Arbeit und zurück (Fahrrad und anschließend S-Bahn) sowie auch darüber hinaus sehr oft (insgesamt mindestens zwei Stunden am Tag) und das Vorgängermodell hat über den gesamten Zeitraum nie enttäuscht oder in den Produkteigenschaften nachgelassen. Ich wurde immer mit qualitativ hochwertiger Wiedergabe und hervorragendem NC verwöhnt. Damals habe ich mich vor dem Kauf intensiv informiert und mir die vergleichbaren Modelle der namhaften Konkurrenzfirmen angesehen und angehört. Kein Modell hat mir klanglich und optisch so zugesagt wie der XM3. Wegen der guten Erfahrungen in der Vergangenheit habe ich die gleiche intensive Recherche diesmal ausgelassen und sofort den XM4 bestellt, weil ich mir, obwohl der alte Kopfhörer noch tadellos funktioniert, etwas Neues gönnen wollte.

Im Design gibt es, abgesehen von der etwas dünneren Polsterung am Kopfbügel und der überall deutlich matteren und damit für mich edler wirkenden Kunststoffoberflächen keinen Unterschied. Die gerasterte Verstellung der Kopfbügel ist jetzt stabiler ausgeführt was zur Folge hat, dass die Stufen straffer und fester einrasten. Was man gleich spürt, wenn man den Kopfhörer aufsetzt, ist der etwas festere Sitz, weil die Bügel mehr Anpressdruck erzeugen. Das wird von mir äußerst positiv zur Kenntnis genommen, da dadurch der Kopfhörer bei Bewegungen besser fixiert bleibt, ohne den sehr guten Tragekomfort zu beeinträchtigen. Das NC war beim XM3 schon auf höchstem Niveau, hier wurde speziell im Tieftonbereich noch einmal nachgebessert. Niederfrequente Störgeräusche in der S-Bahn oder im Bus werden jetzt noch besser weggefiltert. In Bezug auf die Klangqualität habe ich die stärkste Veränderung wahrgenommen. Hoch- und Mitteltöne werden etwas stärker betont was zu einem insgesamt deutlich wahrnehmbaren transparenteren Klangbild führt. Stimmen z.B. rücken dadurch etwas mehr in den Vordergrund ohne dabei das akustische Gesamtbild zu dominieren. Auch die Bässe erscheinen mir nun konturierter und trotzdem immer noch satt wie ich es vom Vorgänger gewöhnt war. Der Klangcharakter hat sich nicht dramatisch verändert, aber der Klang wurde dadurch insgesamt verbessert. Für mich hat sich der Wechsel auf den Nachfolger damit bereits mehr als gelohnt.

In der Funktionalität gibt es nun, optional wählbar, das "Speak To Chat“-Feature. Wird die Funktion in der App scharfgeschaltet, erkennt der Kopfhörer wenn man spricht und schaltet dann die laufende Musik still und überträgt bzw. verstärkt die Umgebungsgeräusche, was dann eine Unterhaltung ermöglicht wie wenn man keinen Kopfhörer mit NC-Funktion auf dem Kopf trägt. Die Länge der Unterbrechung ist in der App einstellbar und die Musikwiedergabe wird fortgesetzt, wenn innerhalb der gewählten Zeit kein Gespräch mehr durch die Mikrofone festgestellt wird. Ebenfalls neu ist die Möglichkeit den Kopfhörer über Bluetooth gleich mit zwei Geräten zu verbinden. Gut im Homeoffice wenn man Musik hört und dabei keinen eingehenden Anruf verpassen will.

Über den bequemen Tragekomfort, die starke Akkulaufzeit und die sehr gut gestaltete App mit vielen Möglichkeiten den Klang und die Funktionalität zu verändern, will ich nichts mehr schreiben, da es hier überhaupt nichts auszusetzen gibt. Viele reklamieren, das APTX-HD fehlt, aber bei AAC und auch bei SBC gibt es keine klanglichen Abstriche zu vermelden, wenn man keine hochaufgelösten Audiosignale wiedergibt. Für Hi-Res-Audio ist im XM4 der von Sony entwickelte LDAC Codec zur Übertragung integriert. Damit höre ich mir alle Musiktitel an, auch die von Spotify, da dieser Codec in den neueren Android-Versionen sowieso integriert ist. Mein Samsung-Handy wählt diese Übertragungsart sogar automatisch aus, wenn ich den Kopfhörer damit verbinde. Bluetooth-Verbindungsprobleme hatte ich auch bei diesem neueren Modell noch nie.

Fazit: Der bereits sehr gute XM3 wurde im Detail überarbeitet was zu einem transparenteren Klangbild im Mittel- und Hochtonbereich geführt hat. Der Bass erscheint mir etwas straffer und das Klangbild wirkt insgesamt offener und freier. Das NC ist bei tieffrequenten Störgeräuschen ebenfalls verbessert worden. Auch die neuen Funktionalitäten in Verbindung mit der strafferen Mechanik der Ohrbügelverstellung und der edleren, weil matteren Oberflächenbeschaffenheit des Kunststoffs, führen bei mir zu einer großen Zufriedenheit bei diesem Kauf. Insgesamt wurde hier genau an den richtigen Stellen verbessert, wodurch sich die Qualität eines sehr guten Produkts noch einmal wirksam verbessert hat. Ganz klare Kaufempfehlung, insbesondere bei dem günstigen Preis.

Hace poco adquirí los auriculares Sony WH-1000XM4 y puedo decir que han superado todas mis expectativas. Estos auriculares son simplemente increíbles en muchos aspectos, y estoy encantado con mi compra.

Comencemos por la calidad de sonido, que es excepcional. Los graves son potentes y profundos, los medios son claros y los agudos son nítidos. Escuchar música con estos auriculares es una experiencia inmersiva y placentera. Además, la cancelación de ruido es espectacular. Bloquea eficazmente el ruido externo, permitiéndome sumergirme completamente en mi música o contenido sin distracciones.

La comodidad también es destacable. Los auriculares están bien acolchados y se ajustan cómodamente a mis oídos, incluso durante largos períodos de uso. Además, son ligeros, lo que los hace ideales para llevarlos en viajes o para un uso prolongado en el día a día.

Las opciones y características adicionales son otra ventaja de estos auriculares. Puedo cambiar entre diferentes modos de cancelación de ruido según la situación, lo que es muy útil en entornos con diferentes niveles de ruido ambiental. La conectividad Bluetooth es sólida y estable, y la duración de la batería es impresionante, lo que me permite disfrutar de horas y horas de reproducción sin preocuparme por la carga.

Estéticamente, estos auriculares son los más bonitos del mercado en mi opinión. Tienen un diseño elegante y moderno que los hace destacar entre la competencia, superando incluso a los BOSE en términos de apariencia.

Sin embargo, como toda tecnología, estos auriculares también tienen algunas limitaciones. Debido a la potente cancelación de ruido, a veces puede ser difícil escuchar los ruidos del exterior, lo que podría ser un problema en situaciones donde necesitas estar más consciente del entorno, como en calles con tráfico o al cruzar la calle. También he notado que, en ocasiones, cuando alguien me habla mientras los uso, la cancelación de ruido puede dificultar la comprensión de lo que me están diciendo.

A pesar de estos pequeños inconvenientes, estoy muy contento con mi compra, especialmente porque aproveché una oferta y los obtuve a un precio inferior al normal. Los auriculares Sony WH-1000XM4 ofrecen una experiencia de audio y comodidad excepcionales, y su rendimiento general es sobresaliente. Si estás buscando unos auriculares de alta calidad con cancelación de ruido avanzada, definitivamente recomendaría los WH-1000XM4 de Sony.
