My new main! Top tier shape, weight, features and materials. Inconsisten M1 and M2
UPDATE 4/26/2021: So this is a bit of a saga. I got so frustrated with M1 and M2 buttons and their weird feel, I returned my open box Burst Pro. About a week later I was at Microcenter and they had a Burst Pro on display. I picked it up on a whim and clicked the buttons. I noticed that the right click on the display mouse was light and crisp, almost like a Razer Viper, but slightly more hollow. The left click felt like I originally described; stiff, hollow, and dull.So that got me thinking, maybe they revised the clicks on later models? I still didn't want to pay full price though for something that seemed like I was going to be potentially disappointing. So I ordered a second open box Burst Pro from Amazon for $30. This one was listed as 'acceptable', but it was like new, just the box was beat up.In any case, I think I got lucky. The M1 and M2 on the second open box mouse were worlds better than the first mouse. They felt like the right click on the display version of the Burst Pro at Microcenter. So this leaves me with some questions. Are these mice really inconsistent during production to the point that M1 and M2 can be so vastly different from mouse to mouse? Or is this a revised version? I don't know. I know that the Viper went through some updates over time to improve their main clicks. Roccat could be doing the same thing, or they could just have really poor QC during manufacturing. Considering how solid the rest of the mouse is, I have a hard time believing it is a QC issue. In any case, this is my new main. The issue I had with it is resolved on this copy, and I love it. I went ahead and bumped it up to 5 stars.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This review is almost painful to type out. I want to love this mouse so bad. It could easily be my main, but it's let down by the mouse 1 and 2 buttons. Let me get to the good parts first.Pros:-Lightweight, this is huge! It's a midsize mouse, but it's soooo light-Great shape, it seems pretty safe for most grips. I fingertip most of the time, and it works great that way. My handsize is 19 cm x 10.8 cm. It's very comfy for longer play sessions.-Great cable! It's not a paracord, but it works really well. I don't feel the need for a bungee.-Good side buttons. Very snappy and responsive. They are also easy to hit. One of my main complaints with the Viper and Model O are the side buttons being either too recessed or too far forward. The Burst Pro gets it right.-Good materials. This is a sturdy mouse, despite its weight. Also, the materials feel really good, even when you get a little sweaty.-Amazing skates !!! This things slides around so good. You will not need to upgrade skates on this mouse at all. It also comes with a spare set in case you wear yours out or have to take off the originals for some reason.-Good scroll wheel. The scroll feel is slightly inconsistent, but its pretty good. Clicking is great.Cons:-M1 and M2 buttons. This is about the only thing wrong with this mouse, but its egregious. The buttons lack feedback, take a lot of pressure to depress, and feel hollow somehow. It is nice that they are optical so they will never double click. And they do not have any pre/post travel, which is great too. But they feel bad to press. This mouse needs a revision with new M1 and M2s, closer to the new Razer opticals at a minimum.-Not available in wireless. This mouse begs to be wireless. It's so good, and wireless would make it even better. If they could maintain the same weight, so much the better.I picked this mouse up for about $30 open-box, so I am not complaining too much. It just sucks that the M1 and M2 are so bad. It ruins an otherwise great mouse. Hopefully we see a Burst Pro V2 or a Burst Pro Wireless in the future with better clicks.

I went ahead and bumped it up to 5 stars.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This review is almost painful to type out. I want to love this mouse so bad. It could easily be my main, but it's let down by the mouse 1 and 2 buttons. Let me get to the good parts first.

Pros:
-Lightweight, this is huge! It's a midsize mouse, but it's soooo light
-Great shape, it seems pretty safe for most grips. I fingertip most of the time, and it works great that way. My handsize is 19 cm x 10.8 cm. It's very comfy for longer play sessions.
-Great cable! It's not a paracord, but it works really well. I don't feel the need for a bungee.
-Good side buttons. Very snappy and responsive. They are also easy to hit. One of my main complaints with the Viper and Model O are the side buttons being either too recessed or too far forward. The Burst Pro gets it right.
-Good materials. This is a sturdy mouse, despite its weight. Also, the materials feel really good, even when you get a little sweaty.
-Amazing skates !!! This things slides around so good. You will not need to upgrade skates on this mouse at all. It also comes with a spare set in case you wear yours out or have to take off the originals for some reason.
-Good scroll wheel. The scroll feel is slightly inconsistent, but its pretty good. Clicking is great.

Cons:
-M1 and M2 buttons. This is about the only thing wrong with this mouse, but its egregious. The buttons lack feedback, take a lot of pressure to depress, and feel hollow somehow. It is nice that they are optical so they will never double click. And they do not have any pre/post travel, which is great too. But they feel bad to press. This mouse needs a revision with new M1 and M2s, closer to the new Razer opticals at a minimum.
-Not available in wireless. This mouse begs to be wireless. It's so good, and wireless would make it even better. If they could maintain the same weight, so much the better.

I picked this mouse up for about $30 open-box, so I am not complaining too much. It just sucks that the M1 and M2 are so bad. It ruins an otherwise great mouse. Hopefully we see a Burst Pro V2 or a Burst Pro Wireless in the future with better clicks.

So I'm an old gamer, and I think the microsoft wheel mouse optical was 100% the best OG gaming mouse bar none. It was light, tracked well for fast movement, and most importantly had the best shape. Can't use it any more because windows f'ed up it's ability to use 500hz (or anything over 125hz) thus making it choppy and unplayable.

This Roccat is designed to almost the exact same specs as the wheel mouse optical. It's light, perfectly shaped for a relaxed claw grip, sensor in an ideal position for precision. But also, with awesome add ons! The feet are pretty slick and feel good with minimal friction. The software is actually really nice in letting you adjust sensor height cutoff (I have a bad habit of lifting the back of the mouse off ever so slightly so I adjust it higher), and INDEPENDENT X AND Y AXIS DPI ADJUSTMENT!

What can I say other than 10/10. It's got a reputation for great build quality (unlike the mira m and HK gaming which die after a couple months use), perfect shape, good light weight, good sensor and buttons. S Tier!

Got it to replace my SteelSeries Aerox 5 wireless after such an obnoxious process just to get a warranty replacement(there's a lot of hoops to jump through). This having a 2 year warranty and hopefully much better RMA process if I have to use it puts me more at ease.

It is a heavier mouse, but that was expected from the advertised weight, and I'll admit I was surprised at how noticeable it was for ~10g difference if memory serves. That said I don't think it's something to really make a fuss over. The build quality feels solid, though there is some creaking if you press down on the palm area where it says "Roccat". The finish on the right and left click attracts a fair amount of oil from your fingers, it reminds me of brushed metal finishes and I find myself wiping it off every so often...something I've not found myself doing much with mice in the past.

The scroll wheel was what sold me(after my Aerox's going bad in 6-8 months), I knew Roccat had been known for their scroll wheels for many years and used to even advertise them a lot more as a feature. For a new mouse I was choosing between the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 and something from Roccat, the superlight's scroll wheel felt fairly light on the notches when trying them out in store, although it was hard to compare for actual use when there was no PC to use it with and pull some of the excessive focus on the feel away. The only negative about this scroll wheel was that at first it started to feel too heavy for scrolling a lot, but may have broken in some since. It also has a DPI button which the superlight is missing, something I rarely use, but I still want it for those moments that I do. And finally on top of all of that, it's 1/3rd the price.

As I haven't had it terribly long yet I haven't been able to test the battery too much, but so far I've had a lot of luck making it last. Most days I'm at my PC for around 12hrs(not enough reviewers measure this in hours per day, just days which could be 4hrs per) give or take, and my current charge has only dropped maybe 10-20% per day which blows the Aerox out of the water. To achieve this I have set a profile that runs at 250Hz poling rate which I run on bluetooth, which also isn't noticeably bad, where as the Aerox's bluetooth had some horrible lag/stutter. This all said first charge was at 70% and didn't last long, however it's hard to know where the battery is at because it is only measured in 10% increments. I also ran that at 1000Hz on 2.4GHz most of the time, and now only use that profile for gaming. I also turned the lighting pretty much all the way down, turning it off of course would make battery life even better I'm sure.

Most other aspects of it are solid, the mouse clicks feel good, as reviewers have said its optical switches have a deeper click sound, but nothing to fuss about. The sensor seems fine, but I think you'd have to screw up pretty bad to put a bad sensor in a gaming mouse. The mouse skates(feet) seem decent, some reviewers seemed to praise them a lot, I've never been one to care as long as they glide nicely which almost all gaming mice have for ages now...and honestly I don't think these have any crazy noticeable improvement from others. The lighting is great, and I think the choice to cover the hexagon pattern only makes it look even better, it makes the light feel like it's following you. It also keeps you from getting a mouse that is filled with dust and dirt on the inside where it's tough to clean, something that seems to be ignored on these hole sporting mice.

This mouse is great for medium hands, if you have big hands then they might be a bit of a squeeze to handle but the DPI reads the mouse pad very detailed

5.0 out of 5 stars Leichte und präzise Gaming Maus mit RGB Beleuchtung

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally a company who can make a good, affordable lightweight mouse

I love this product, rgb is looking cool for anyone who uses it I personally do not. The cable is pretty great not too loose and flexible nor is it too stiff. THE MB1 and MB2 FEEL AMAZING TO PRESS, they are crisp, responsive and it's been so long since I've had a mouse with good button presses because all the other lightweight mouse either have QC issues or mushy clicks.
The mouse is matte coating feels good to hold for the hand, I gamed on rainbow six siege and black ops cold war for over 10 hours combined together for today with no sweating on my hands, or losing grip on the mouse.
The mouse feet glide well, they also include an extra pair which some high-end companies don't do currently *cough* Logitech *cough*.
The scroll wheel isn't the greatest but it's not garbage like the zowie scroll wheels. Fine for browsing, good for in-game. (I think GPW has the best scroll wheel in the mouse market currently).
Side buttons are also great to press, they are big enough for my thumb to reach easily as I use side buttons for grenades and knifing ingame.
Overall I love this mouse, I hope they also release a wireless version near the future. I would also compare the shape of this mouse to a smaller XM1, which is what I've wanted for so long.
