I have the 72 set and they came from Amazon global. It took less then a week to arrive. And the pencils were perfect.
The color palette is great. Good color choices and it gives you what you need.
The pencils sharpen well and the leads seem strong.
The Procolour feels firm enough for detail and control and yet they glide and lay down beautifully. Not scratchy at all.
They have a soft feel but, not smushy.
It's not as soft as Colorsoft. More like Polychromos with a control and firmness of Derwent Artist. A perfect blend of firm and soft. They remind me of my favorite drawing pencils, Palomino Black Wing #602.
The pencils glide across when laying down color. And the colors are vivid.
Blending is a dream with a blend or solvent. I painting the pencil I find a softer pencil then bristle works best. With a softer brush you get the same effect as Polychromos.
You can layer quite abit depending on the paper. I used Stonehenge.
I would also recommend doing a color chart or playing with the different colors as some colors lay down a color that is not quite the same as the lead. Something I find standard with Derwents of all lines.
I absolutely love the feel of the pencils and the colors. I love the colors in this line.
Derwent really did an amazing job of bringing a firm and soft blend in this pencil and they have been a joy to use
