The Nix was a great way for my non-social media attached husband to see the photos and videos my daughter and son were posting. They simply send the photos to the Nix email address and the pictures show up on our screen. I especially love the ability to adjust the number of pictures that get shown (latest 100, 200, 500, 1000 or all). I'll often reset it to 100 so my husband will see all the recent photos sent. It has a large capacity and even pictures emailed can have captions. Date and time can be shown on the screen as well -- small added benefit but still a nice feature. The remote is convenient. Motion detection means the frame isn't on all the time and the sound from videos won't wake us up at night (You don't want to put this anywhere near where you sleep as it will wake up anytime it senses movement. We have it in our kitchen.). Easy to set up and the Nix having its own email address has simplified our ability to keep the pictures up-to-date. I don't know why anyone would choose any other smartframe. This is simply the best.

The resolution is nicer than competitors in the same price range. Pretty good picture quality and easy to setup. Its a little annoying to set up with a tiny remote (have to click around a keyboard for typing in WiFi info). But once its all set up, you can manage the picture stream from you phone.

Nixplay does not support China market

The 2k IPS screen is very good. The screen is comparable to a 6th generation iPad.
The screen quality is certainly not as good as the one you find in an iPad Pro. However, the display is almost as good as an iPad, which is most noticeable feature of this electronic album.

However, it does not currently support China market. The Nixplay app does not work in China. You cannot upload any photos from your phone using the app in China. Nixplay Technical Support stated that the app uses Google services that are not available in China. And the Nixplay album user interface does not support Chinese even though it is made in China.

Another thing needs to be clarified is that the 2K device has only 8Gb storage memory. This is unfortunately not stated in their product descriptions. What does this mean? A frame of mine already used 50% of 8Gb storage by having only 700 photos and short video clips. I would estimate the device can only hold around 1400 photos.

The Customer Service and/or Technical Support are very responsive. However, they have not resolved the app issues in China for many months. I reported this issue on March 2020.

I would rate this 3.5 stars. Lack of China market support costs it 1 star. Having merely 8Gb of internal storage is another 0.5 star ding to the product.

Nevertheless, Nixplay 2K Picture Frame is an overall good product if you don't intend to use it in China.
And I'll update my review if they fix the app issue.

I literally just received my Nixplay frame. It was setup and displaying pictures and a video within half an hour. I am so impressed!!!!! I had a family network of CEIVA frames for years which we all loved. However, the technology is old, and the CEIVA frames do not display video. So, I ordered a 9.7 inch black 2K Nixplay frame from Amazon to see if it will be the appropriate replacement for our old network. Indeed, Nixplay will be perfect. I contacted Nixplay Customer Service several times by email and chat before making my purchase, and they were very helpful. Again, I am very impressed.

Decent modernized digital photo frame as long you have internet and a good current
generation cell phone. Setup was easy when you follow instructions, got up and running with a library of photos in 15 minutes. I like the thin bezel and motion and light sensor to have on and dim in the room day or night. A good benefit is having friends upload photos or video clips to this frame which is nice to include others from far away. I also have the 10.1 inch frame aswell placed in our family room to keep my new photos visible shared from my mobile phone or gmail photo library. I definitely recommend these frames, but purchase when on Amazon sale as I did, being they are quite pricey photo frames.

Unfortunately we cant review the product because it can not plug into Australian power supply.
Misleading that the product being sold by “The big Australian Store” that:
A) product would be in Australia (which it wasn’t) and
B) It would come with a power pack suitable for Australian power
C) at least advise the purchaser it needs a power adapter.
Because, unfortunately I have wasted more time trying to source an adapter locally and now waiting for another couple of weeks for one to be delivered via online.
So, at this stage am a little disappointed.
