I am not a gamer, but do some extensive spreadsheet, streaming and internet work and it never misses a beat. I was considering a Surface Pro, which I use in business, and am truly happy with the VivoBook even without the touchscreen.

    Quick start-up, great screen, comfortable keyboard, solid build. I bought this laptop to replace my 6-year-old Asus TP 500L and am happy with the purchase. Especially compared to my old laptop, the battery life is impressive.

    1) This does not have a touch screen; I'm not sure why the original listing seems to indicate that it does.
    2) The fingerprint sensor simply doesn't work; I am not able to set up a fingerprint security log-in.
    3) This came loaded with Windows 10 but I was IMMEDIATELY FORCED to upgrade to Windows 11. I was not given a choice about this. You have no choice but to download updates with Windows 11 as well. You can't choose which updates you want, you can't choose when to download them. You MUST UPDATE and Windows is constantly updating. Irritating and inconvenient. Windows 11 is awful, by the way. They got rid of a lot of useful features from earlier versions of Windows and frankly made the entire system more difficult to navigate instead of easier. This version of Windows is trash; simplified but not user-friendly.
    4) The speakers are heavily muffled and the sound quality is poor; I had to install an app to help boost sound and I recommend that you do the same if you want to ever use this laptop to watch media.
    5) The keyboard is very small and the power button often doesn't work right away to turn it on and I have to press it repeatedly or unplug and re-plug the laptop before getting it to turn on.
    I don't like the fact that the power button is part of the keyboard as this kind of soft mushy power key often stops working on laptops after a while. It's much better to have a separate, more sturdy power button on the side of the laptop or above the keyboard as with older models. Keep in mind that I have barely gotten to use this laptop, I use a separate keyboard to type with and so the keys on this laptop are in as-new condition but I'm already having issues even the laptop is brand new.
    6) The charger cord is very short.
    7) This is an I-7 processor but honestly it's not significantly (or at all) faster than slower processors seem to be. I expected it to be much more powerful than my last laptop which had a slower processor and less RAM but nope. Not particularly impressive in that regard, honestly.
    8) Amazon is supposed to give you a partial refund if the price of your purchase goes down within a certain period of time--they supposedly give a refund of the difference between your purchase price and the sale price. I contacted amazon within the allotted period of time and requested this refund and never got it and never heard back from amazon or the seller. So, thanks for nothing, I guess?
    9) Good points: The laptop is indeed light and thin, though it does feel sturdy because of the metal frame. It has a nice screen and is a good size, though not really big enough to be that great for watching media. More of a work or school laptop. The battery seems to last a good while. Would be useful for taking to university classes, etc.

    It doesn't charge any more already in just over a year and even if I have 2 years warranty according o the seller, ASUS won't accept it and tell me that it's only 1 year. I'll have to ship it to them for repair and will have to pay for it, even if it is still under warranty.
    The seller told me something like the 1st year is 100% warranty but the 2nd is only for fixing it, no parts included. He doesn't do anything and points me at ASUS. Even so it wont be accepted by ASUS and it is a cat in de sack as it turns out to be only 1 year of warranty, what has finished now.
    Reason for this feedback is more that I'm disappointed that the ASUS laptop broke. I was a super fan of them.
