It is a pleasure to look at the camera and it is so light! It does great photos to top it off!
The build quality is great. It feels sturdy in the hands, has already taken a few bumps and minor drops with no issues. I've had this for about a month and haven't noticed any issues with dust entering the lens like many reviews of the original lx100 complained about. I'm a big fan of all the tactile controls for aperture, shutter speed, and exposure compensation. It's much easier to flip a dial or two than dig through software menus to change. I live up north, so operating in the cold is mandatory and so far haven't seen any issues due to temperature. The one complaint I have with the hardware is with the electronic view finder. If I move the camera quickly I notice quite a bit of tearing in the picture until I slow down the movements. I use the LCD view screen more often, so it's not a deal breaker, but it is annoying when I need to use the EVF.
I'd rate the image quality as good. Coming from cellphone photography, the pictures look a bit flatter out of the box than an iPhone or Pixel, but you can definitely see the resolution is higher and if I'm willing to put in a bit of editing work the photos will surpass what I can get out of a cellphone camera.
Battery life is very good. I've used it all day for a couple hundred shots and still have some gas left in the tank. No complaints.
Overall, I'm happy with this purchase. It's given me full tactile control over image settings, offers good picture quality, can take a couple bumps, and can up your photography game from a cellphone camera if you're willing to learn how to work it in manual or one of the priority modes.

The camera's ergonomics are amazingly good. You have a choice of either using the large bright LCD screen on the back to compose pictures, or the electronic viewfinder. Amazingly, the camera senses if you are using the viewfinder and automatically switches from the live view LCD screen to the viewfinder. Maybe this isn't a new feature for modern cameras, but this is the first camera that I've owned that had such a feature.
My only criticism of the camera is the menu system. Initially I found the menus confusing, possibly because I have used Nikon and Canon cameras in the past, which have a different menu system. I put in some time familiarizing myself with the Panasonic, and now I am comfortable with its system of menus. One saving feature for the menus is the My Settings menu selection, which allows the user to group his or her favorite and most-used settings all in one place. This helps to mitigate the feature-rich nature of the camera, which is really why the menus are complicated. Most users will want to make liberal use of this feature.
The camera easily transfers images and film clips from camera to your smartphone, thereby enabling further transfer of the images to the cloud, social media, or whatnot. Get the free Panasonic app.
Overall I am extremely pleased with this camera -- it is a small wonder that really does about do it all. RJB.

It’s the perfect camera if you are good with the 24-70 focal range, very sharp and with a nice bokeh (for a MFT camera of course). The raw file is very flexible in Capture One with a very good highlights and shadows recover. Perfect size, well build, with aperture ring and all you need to feel the photography feeling of a real camera (in a fraction of the size and weight).
Very happy.
