Very cool idea, ok execution. The mini drone is pretty cool, but mostly for indoor use except on the calmest of days due to its small size. It's a little tough to control at first and the camera functionality is a pain to use. To connect an iPhone to the drone, you must first install the "4D Fly" app, then you need to put your iPhone in airplane mode and then you need to join the wifi network that begins with "4DRC-4K". You can then start the app. If you do not enable airplane mode, the app will not connect to the drone, don't ask me why. What's worse is that if you crash the drone and need to restart it, you have to restart the process all over again each time, after several tries you just give up using the video functionality. The video is on a slight delay which makes flying by looking at the video only very difficult. When flying the done over objects and stuff, I did notice that sometimes it alters altitude for no discernable reason.
I do like the idea of the drone and the fact that it stores right in the controller itself. I wish they also had an area to store the spare batteries as well (they include a total of 3 which is nice). There should also be some sort of tab on the back side of the phone holder to make removable easier. There is also a compartment on the left back of the remote where I have been storing the prop protectors, spare blade and screwdriver. If you are not storing the prop protectors in it, you can also store one of the spare batteries there in addition to the blades and screwdriver.
