After having it for 6th months I loved it, hell I was tempted to get another one in a different size. Then the charging/connecting port broke. I freaked out and tried everything. Turns out this happens a lot with the Intuos Pro. Luckily it was still under warranty. I sent it back and a day after it arrived I got a message they were sending something back. I assumed the worse (which was that they were sending it back, not fixed) and was ready to write an angry email to customer support. They overnight shipped it and when it arrived I realized the box looked different than the UPS one I shipped it in. Turns out, they send me a whole new tablet, overnight shipping, in just a day. That is some amazing service.
I suggest buying this tablet, however, be prepared to lug it around or have it be your home one because, god, it's big. It's amazing though. Also if you have a problem with the port, at least try to connect Wacom even if it isn't under warranty. If it doesn't work out, look up "Intuos Pro charging without cable" on google and hopefully that will help.
In the end, though, I have to give it 5 stars. It's fast, responsive, and came with good customer service.
touch also works fine and you can set a button to toggle it on/off so you aren't doing things unexpectedly.
scroll wheel also works really well.
wireless mode is probably a bit silly on this as it will only work for a few hours before killing the battery. if thats all you need it for, it might be ok, otherwise I just leave it plugged in on USB all the time. My only minor gripe is that its so wide that I pushed my keyboard several inches to the left so that when I hit the command / shift / opt keys or other keyboard operations I'm not hitting the tablet buttons. Yes you can set the tablet buttons to do the same but I'm usually doing something like save or export where its a 2 or 3 key combo, not just mod key operation
overall I love it... except the price. however when you consider it will last your next couple of computers, or be used on several machines its not so bad. I also got it on sale price which made it a lot easier to buy.
This is HUGE and probably the largest model they make. There is plenty of drawing space. I tested it with Photoshop and for the most part, it's pretty easy to use. You will likely need to customize one of the hot keys to undo your changes until you get used to drawing with it. There is a bit of a learning curve as it's not exactly like holding a pencil and drawing on paper, but it doesn't take long to become proficient. There are plenty of tips and tutorials on YouTube if needed. While this model is not cheap, you certainly won't find a better product, especially a wireless one. One of the coolest things is being able to hook your computer up to the TV and draw from the couch. Very cool! If my fiance wasnt so lazy, I'm sure she would agree.
UPDATE: January 2017
I still love this tablet. Its an absolute must have in any digital artists toolbox. But I had to take a star away because of the increasingly buggy driver software made by Wacom for their tablets. The driver has never been flawless. I've had to get used to some workarounds in some way or another for every new driver update. But when Apple released their newest OS update in December 2016, the Wacom driver absolutely melted down. The tablet became totally unusable, not even registering pen movement. Wacom has released yet another driver update and there is no change on my Mac. I uninstalled the latest driver (6.3.20-4) and installed an older version (6.3.18-4). This has allowed me to use the tablet again, but the driver is still very buggy. Some of my hotkeys work, some don't. Some only work after I click the shift key for some reason. But at least I can use it again. Wacom has a long history of writing bad driver software. It's such a shame because the tablet itself is wonderful. I don't know if it's even possible, but I really wish a third party would step in and make an alternative driver.
UPDATE: February 2017
Absolutely fed up with the buggy, barely usable drivers for this tablet. So I bit the bullet and bought an iPad Pro, Apple Pen, and Astropad app. This combo absolutely shreds any other normal drawing tablet. I don't know how it would compare versus the Cintiq, but this is a huge game changer for me. Being able to look and draw directly on the same screen has really improved the speed and quality of my work. Plus I get to watch tv shows on the iPad afterward. Yeah, it's a pricey deal, but so worth it. Again, this Wacom tablet is solid, when the driver actually works. But Wacom has proven to me they can't support the device properly, so I found a better, more dependable option. Bye Wacom!
Top reviews from other countries
I previously had a Wacom Intuos3 Large. It was just time to replace it after Wacom stopped updating the driver.
This was a really big upgrade from that. It's much more precise with lines in Photoshop. I have to get used to all the new buttons, but I highly recommend this tablet if anyone is debating it. Wacom knows what artists like.
