    Functions great. Great for shots/videos. Highly recommend if you charge swells! The Body board mount was made with various types of boarders in mind. This mount attaches to any body boards, soft-top or foam surfboards or stand up paddle boards (SUPs) with a thickness of 1.5 inches to 3.5 inches (3.8 cm to 8.8 cm). With the Body board mount, you can shoot fully immersive point-of-view footage, or you can get some really cool shots of yourself on the board catching those waves (you can always edit the video should you fall). Installation is quick and painless- a camera tether (Which i would not recommend using as the only safety mechanism, and locking plug are included with the Body board mount, all you’ll need is a screwdriver! The mount also has a mounting arrow, which will help you choose the best possible angle when you install it. Face toward you, the sand, what you see, or the formation of the barrel beside you! Positioning is up to you, I’d recommend laying on your board in trim position and then sticking it a few inches forward of your outside hand, you want it as far back as possible without it getting in the way, (if you’re worried about putting it too far back watch some footage of Pierre Louis Costes body boarding and check out how far back his outside hand is).This body board go pro mount is also compatible with all Go Pro models.     I like it a lot. I mounted it on the center of my board instead of how they show it to one side of the board. It works great with the gooseneck except the little leash isn't long enough so you'll have to come up with a longer leash. Instead of doing that I used another length of leash that comes with some of the mounts and attached a little clip to it so I can detach the gooseneck from my boatd and use it to film others.

    I installed this on my wavestorm surfboard using a big nail that I heated up with a torch. Melted straight through the plastic foam like butter and sealed up the foam cells inside. Its screws in and locks in tight to the board. GoPro mount snaps in securely and doesn't move at all when the shock absorber is used. And it is low profile when not in use so I can just leave it installed.

    I got this last summer for our trip to the beach and I was able to get some great shots. Your not limited to the instructions on where to mount the GoPro Mount. I choose the upper left and at a slight angle. When it's mounted you can face the camera forward or reverse it and get some shots of yourself riding waves. I did use one additional piece of paracord attached to the thumbscrew and my boogie board lanyard to give me some additional piece of mind. It wasn't needed but I will do it again in the future. When not using the GoPro there was no adverse effects from the mount. It was great. I may try and get an extension to get shots from a little further away if I use it again.

    It's a great idea, but most boogie boards don't have top and bottom surfaces that are parallel planes. My extended family owns about a dozen from various manufactures and none had the sort of parallel planes this mount needs. That means that the large plastic discs in this fastener will be turned so that they are not perpendicular to the posts that connect them. When I installed the mount I was concerned that the considerable force that it take to connect the part securely would weaken or even break the stems inside the board (any stress is unobservable). I guess I really worry about losing my 500 dollar Hero4 black in the surf.

    In any case, I had previously used a different system that it seems is a better solution. Go to ACE hardware and buy a couple of stainless steel washers and a long bolt (1/4 - 20) to attach a gopro tripod mount (getting the bolt length just right is kind of tricky - so measure first and then buy a couple of sizes to give you options). The steel will offer security well beyond this plastic, and the parts will add up to less than this price.

    We love this! One more fun way to use our GoPro. Easy to install and feels very secure. You need to put a hole in your board so you would leave it in. There is no adhesive required so you could move it to a new board if you choose. The flanges keep it from rotating. You could unscrew it and rotate the mount in 90 degree intervals, but we did not try that. We faced it at the rider and I used a remote wrist controller to operate the GoPro. We own 2 soft top surfboards, this is the mount we would need for them. If you have a GoPro and love to boogie board, this is a must.

    Used it for a weekend. Worked great. My only complaint is (and I guess this is a good thing depending on the situation) it was very hard to unclip the gopro camera from the mount. After spending time in the ocean and getting sand into the equation it became very difficult to unmount it. I ended up leaving the mount clipped in and unscrewing the camera from the foot.

    Otherwise great product, it made for some fun footage.

    An sich ist es eine super Möglichkeit seine GoPro oder andere ActionCam auf seinem Bodyboard oder Softtop Surfboard zu montieren.
    Es wird einfach ein Loch in das Board gebohrt :D und die Halterung wird Verschraubt. Die Kamera lässt sich zusätzlich noch über ein kleines Kabel mit der halterung verbinden, falls dann doch einemal der Schlitten aus der halterung rutscht.
    Ich empfehle zudem eine Auftriebshilfe an die Kamera zu kleben... Safty First
    Fazit eine stabile Halterung für nicht ganz so viel Geld, kann ich nur weiter empfehlen.
