I'm a pro-level artist and am doing art of many kinds for most of 12 hours per day. I ordered this light pad to separate my inks from my pencils, both done using 11" x 17 " 100 lb. paper. Having used this for a few weeks, I am loving it! This light pad has the best of everything-
it's as lightweight as an acrylic pad this size can be
the light gets bright enough to clearly see through 2 pages of 100 lb. paper
the brightness is fully adjustable (not just low, medium, or full. This does ANYWHERE between full and off)
it remembers the level you had it on last and returns back to it when turned back on
it has a very sleek appearance
and it's built as sturdy as any I've ever used.
Trust me when I say that the pictures taken in the dark by other reviewers don't do this light pad any justice at all. (Which is why I'm not uploading my own pics) This thing fully lights up a dark room. I use this during the day with the house lights on with no problem, and, at about 15% power, I can draw in bed at night without having to turn on a room light that would keep my wife awake.
Lastly, the cord. Aparently Huion listened to all the negative reviews and lengthened the cord, a LOT. The one I received was at least 6 foot long (2+ meters), and charges the lightpad beautifully. Imo, the cord isn't a big deal because the battery lasts for 8+ hours between charges, but it's so awesome that they heard what everyone was saying and fixed the problem. Way to go Huion, you've got a customer for life if you keep that up!
In short, I HIGHLY recommend this product and will probably be buying another just to have a different size! Now stop reading and buy yourself one already!

my 3yo loves it and so do i
it is very bright the picture doesn't show it however it is really good you can easily adjust the brightness. i got the one with charger and at the beginning i didn't know that i should switch it on from the side to be able to operate it without a USB however once we did that it worked great on battery for several hours. i use it for my art tracing and also for my autistic child who really enjoys it.
