Created a trail camera pretty easily

Created a trail camera pretty easily
Installed on my bull bar to use as a trail cam. Haven't tried it out on the trail yet, but I has a decent picture and field of view. Garmin used #24 gadge, stranded conductors for the power wires that can be hard to strip without breaking

Installed this on my Wrangler as a FRONT facing camera slaved to a Garmin RV785. It is wired to the headlamp on switch and is independant of the dashcam on the 785. I have is set low to show what is directly in front of the tires.
Works great & adds a level of comfort & safety when offroading.

A follow up with the concerns and issues to the BC35 mounting to my 2008 F250 long-bed truck. I did mount the transmitter underneath the bed by attaching it to the forward side of the hitch receiver. The rear camera video transmits with NO ISSUES considering the metal bed and cab; as well of underneath components such as axle, suspension, spare tire, etc. Hope this answers future customers questions to this issue, however an extension cable should be made available.

I drive a semi-truck and I bought this camera as an aid for blindside backing. I paired it with a DEZL OTR800 and mounted the camera above the passenger window. This camera did not work well for this function for two reasons:
    - It does not do well with picking up details in shadow. Anything dark disappears.
    - The degree of lens fish-eying, with the length of the trailer, and low image resolution made it difficult to confidently see how well the trailer is turning around other objects.

Finding a way to get the camera wired in was a small challenge, but once it was, it worked well as far as syncing with and providing an image to the GPS unit once powered.

I know the stated limit for transmission on this is 45 ft., but I was in hopes that it would work. No way. It works fine while in my metal rv cover, but once you drive it, it looses the signal and says that no camera is attached, or it will give long refresh rates, neither of which is satisfactory. I have over $650 invested in the BC 35 camera and the RV 785 which I understand to be the only camera/ Nuvi combination that "works" and these won't work together when attached to a travel trailer. What was Garmin thinking? That no one who orders a navigator would want to put a camera on the back of the RV. I'm past the time when I can return this to Amazon, so I'm stuck with it. I know others say third party extension cables work with the BC 35 camera, but the specifications for the cable don't match up, so I have my doubts that they work. And these third party cables are way too short to help, anyway. I think since I'm stuck with this Garmin junk, I'll experiment with it some and see if I can splice an extension cable into it. If it works, great, if it doesn't, I'm only out the cost of a piece of six-wire cable. A pox on you Garmin!!!!

Put it in reverse wait a few seconds this camera automatically takes over your screen put it in park it releases the screen your back to your map. This connects through Wi-Fi once connected properly you don't have to touch anything it's pretty awesome.

The backup camera is outdated when it comes to videoqualiity and lightsensivity. Unfortunately it is the only backupcamera from Garmin that is compatible with the Garmin Overlander GPS.
