For context, I've been a full-time professional photographer for over 20 years. My main system through the years has been Canon, but for 10 years, I used Hasselblads, that I finally sold off.
In December I bought and returned a Fuji GFX 50s II & a Hasselblad X1D II in search of a camera to finally replace a Hasselblad H5D-40 I used for several years and loved. I sold it because clients didn't care and it was slow to operate (which I find joyful when photographing, but not on a deadline).
Neither camera outshined my Canon EOS R5's image quality. Both had good attributes, fun to shoot, pretty to look at, but if they weren't miles ahead of the Canon, I was sending them back. After extensive testing, I couldn't find solid reasons to keep either. So back they went. Then I bought the Canon RF50mm 1.2 as well as the rf50mm 1.8 to try out. I shoot mainly interiors and portraits. I have other L-series glass, but was always under the impression the results I was getting with the 50mm f1.4 was fine enough stopped down to f2. Besides, I started using an L-series 100mm f2.8 macro for most of my portraits anyway.
The RF50mm 1.2 is a game changer for me. I'm getting that sharpness that I was used to with the Hasselblad. When it nailed focus, eyelashes were intoxicating to look at. Whelp, in a world where Hasselblad and Fuji are trying to pass off CMOS sensors as medium format, I strongly recommend looking into the Canon system coupled with this lens.

I ordered a renewed lens that was suppose to be in like new condition. For starters this $2000 lens was sent in a random/ tiny corrugated box wrapped in bubble wrap- like someone plucked it from the bottom of their garage. Did not come with any original packing from the camera manufacturer. I received the lens itself, hood and cap. The cap had significant wear, as in the letters were wearing off. I decided to brush it off and try the lens out anyway on my brand new camera base and wasn’t very impressed with the auto focus and overall condition of the lens. It was clearly not in the condition as they had advertised so I packaged it up returned it within the first week of receiving. I also want to note my packaging skills were on point. I sent back in loads of bubble wrap and cushion and in an appropriate sized box. No chance of any dings happening during transit.
Well, not only does this company charge for a return shipping (which is fine) but they kept $184 of my return. According to them it is because I sent it back “all scratched up” and claimed that I kept the lense case and the original Canon box, and switched the lens cap. I guess this company doesn’t even know what they send out!! This seller needs to be investigated by Amazon for shady business practices. Rest assured I will be making a report. Just please save yourself and buy direct from manufacturer or order on EBay …just don’t do business with a third party such as RSVPN
To add: I had several interactions with the customer service to try to resolve this. They were extremely dismissive and accusatory. Kept saying that I need to send back all the things to get my refund after I said multiple times that I never received ANY of those things. And after a few messages they would just copy and paste the same message. SMH
