I used this light, straight out of the box, to light up my macro shot of some Christmas décor and since I am a rookie to photography I was surprised of the quality image I was able to produce without ever having used a light, other than my camera flash or natural light, to light up any of my subject of photography. My pro photographer friends that saw my shots were positively impressed by my results.
The light is very bright for it's small size and the diffuser is very nice. The warmth of the light is very nice. In my shot I did not use the warm light because I wanted to create the effect of the cold of the snow - it turned out nice, I think.
The light is very easy to use as it has only 1 button and a toggle to adjust the brightness and the color of the light. My pro-photographer friend decided to get this as well over the Aperture light he bought several years back - mainly due to the quality of light and the size and weight.
