    This is a VERY nice filter with lovely presentation with the case and cleaning cloth. The glass is durable and thick and will give you the images you are hoping to achieve. While it works great, the price is on the higher side but if you are a serious photographer it is worth the investment as it is compatible with many brands and you will be getting what you pay for.

    I don't consider myself a 'serious photographer'. I'm what is known as a 'content creator' that is trying to become a competent photographer. I'm primarily a writer and started taking photos/videos to supplement that. I'm trying to learn all I can about the art of photography and (hopefully) I'll have time at some point to pursue it. For now at least, I'm more focused on taking images/videos of decent quality quickly and easily. That's what pays the bills.

    That's probably why I've always had a predisposition against square filters. I definitely understand their benefits--for one, they're more versatile as they can be used with multiple lenses unlike circular filters which are made for specific lens diameters. I've also read about their advantages during the photographic process--better to stack, easier to change, higher quality, etc. Given my primary need for photo equipment, the versatility argument is the most compelling IMO since it also means that you don't have to buy what is essentially the same filter multiple times for different lenses. If you have a matte box or filter frame, you can swap filters between any number of lens size/types.

    I'm a big fan of the circular Kase filters and use them often. This filter performed equally as well. Not really surprised given my experience with Kase. I did find the square filters easier to use now than I did when I first tried them several years ago. Maybe the equipment has improved, maybe my skills have improved, or who knows what else. If square filters are your thing you can't go wrong with these. Highly recommended!

    This is my second filter set from Kase, and just like the first set, this 100 x 150 mm 3 stop double graduated filter does not disappoint. It is definitely on the expensive side for a single 100 x 150 mm filter, but still marginally cheaper than the top-tier brands that are more established in this market.

    Included in the box is the filter (obviously), a microfiber cloth, and a very nice quality filter wallet which at the very least serves as consolation for the $220 you just spent on a square piece of tinted glass.

    It should fit any 100mm square filter kit. I tested this with my Neewer square filter holder, and have no drama to report; mechanically, it works as you would expect it to.

    The optical quality of the glass Kase uses on their top-tier line of filters is exceptional. It is absolutely crystal clear where it needs to be, just like their UVA filter that blew my mind just a little bit. The gradients are also exactly what you would expect from a top-tier brand.

    Functionally (as a graduated filter) this kit offers you the flexibility of two separate 100 x 100mm filters while also giving you the ability to darken two sides of a frame. This feature is somewhat lacking from the competitions lineup, and does serve to add value to the steep asking price. I was able to use it in all three modes of operation (soft side, hard side, and both together) with no drama to report.

    One thing worth a mention is that darkening two sides of a frame has limited utility with a combo filter such as this (since you cant control the size of the clear portion). This is a non-issue for my needs, but for those that need that function, it may make more sense to get two single-graduated plates instead.

    Overall, I am happy with this filter, but I'll have to say that I am slightly disappointed by the price, which is why I took off one star. Despite the stellar optical quality, I think the asking price is a bit steep for a brand that is not yet established in North America.
