How does this work?
Events, such as face recognition, are detected are in real time by the DVA series NVR. Once detected, footage is then tagged in Surveillance Station, the companion Video Management System from Synology. This results in smoother monitoring since event detection does not need to be completed by the software during playback.

What cameras are required for the DVA series?
While all Onfiv Profile Type S and G devices are compatible, we recommend using IP cameras that support Full HD (1920x1080) resolution and 20 FPS (frames per second) or higher.

DO NOT BUY!!! The Manufacturer is Not Representing the Systems Actual Abilities.
UPDATE (Because it just keeps getting stupider):Some of the False Positives I now encounter with this "Deep Learning" DVA:* Phantom Cars: nearly every night, the system thinks the driveway (or the sky) is a car.* Cars outside the virtual fence: trigger an alert.* Christmas Lights!: Now and then, the system gets distracted by the neighbor's (static) Christmas lights and sends me an alert. The lights are outside the virtual fence but that doesn't stop this little frik'n charmer of a "security" system, oh no, it sends me an alert!There are SO MANY false positives that this is actually an anti-security system.UPDATE: Would NOT recommend. The capabilities they claim don't hold up to the real world environment. SO MANY FALSE EVENTS.* My parked car triggers multiple warnings throughout the day.* Cars driving by trigger intrusion warnings even though they never get close the the virtual fence.* Shadows during the day and headlights at night are picked up as people or cars.* Real events are missed.If a real intrusion event did happen (and was noticed by the system) it would get lost in the sea of false flags. Really disappointing.WARNING. They aren't being completely honest about the capabilities and performance.Yes, you can run two analytics tasks UNLESS you choose a task that counts as two.So, if you run facial recognition, you won't be allowed to run intrusion detection at the same time.Do you want to know who is there or do you want to know when an unknown car pulls up? Two tasks, but you can't run both.This strikes me as tiny bit dishonest. Feeling very disappointed by this bending of the truth. Not sure I would have paid for this had I known in advance.
