Dual Bios, Weird Layout, Ram Issues, Lots Of Features, A Little Pricey IMO, Would Recommend
Purchased this with a 3950x. Much needed upgrade. For $350 plus I'm not sure it is worth the price. The io has an excess of usb 2.0 ports that should be more 3.0 ports for the price imo. If you want to use wifi the antenna implementation is weird and unnecessary. It is a stylized antenna with a magnetic base that is wired to the io instead of screwed directly into the io. If you don't like The way it looks you'll probably need to purchase more standard antenna or use the nice 2.5 gb lan port(recommended).I have issues with the layout of this motherboard as well. I bent a pin during installation and was able to bend it back into place and it still functions perfectly. It's not a cheap board so I'm happy I did not have to rma it for a bent fan header. There are plenty of fan headers for a standard atx case. I have a lian li o11 air. It's a variant of the popular o11 dynamic. The positioning of the usb 3.0 headers on the bottom of the motherboard conflict with fan/rad placement in cases with a similar layout. I have to purchase angled adapters to use them(no front io for now). This could have been easily fixed if the fan headers below the 24 pin traded places with one of the usb 3.0 headers. Why the type C header is in a good place and the 3.0 header isn't is confusing. The type C makes sense and the 3.0s do not. It's much easier to route a thinner fan cable than it is to route a bulky usb 3.0 connector with little to no flex. There are plenty of pcie slots and I'm glad they are not wasted on a wifi/sound card. I am also looking forward to taking advantage of the three pcie gen 4 nvme ssd slots. This might just be with my gpu or bigger cards but with an evga xc ultra geforce rtx 2080 super I could not get the latch to lock my gpu into the slot. The card is fully seated in the slot and functions perfectly but I pressed as hard as I was comfortable with and could not get the latch to lock it in place.I am new to overclocking. As in I've never done it before. I think this is a good board to learn on. I've already been saved by the dual bios. If you mess up the bios and cannot boot at all the second bios is always there for a back up. It's easy to understand how to do it in the manual(RTFM). The debug codes are also helpful and prominently displayed instead of hidden or poorly placed like some other boards. I did have some weird issues with my ram. As of bios F11 I cannot get my 32gb of Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro ram to run at its rated 3200mghz speed. It will run at the rated speed if you activate the xmp profile in the bios. Doing so results in major instabilities in windows and blue screens of death. Not sure if this kit is incompatible or if it can be fixed eventually with a bios update. Unfortunately if this isn't resolved I'll be stuck with a $200 ram kit running at the speeds of a $60-$80 kit(2133mghz). EDIT: ENTER THE FREQUENCY, TIMINGS, AND VOLTAGE MANUALLY IN BIOS. THE VALUE FOR TRP ISN'T POSSIBLE WITH THIS CPU/MOTHERBOARD. SELECT 27 AS IT IS THE NEAREST POSSIBLE VALUE.Ultimately I am happy with my purchase. I would suggest you get this board or a cheaper similar one if you know how to overclock or plan to learn. Just do your research, RTFM, and consider if your case might present unexpected problems when it comes to cable management.

Purchased early.

I had planned to wait until purchasing a Ryzen 5000 Series CPU in this board, but bought two boards.
I've installed only one with a 3700x that is stable at stock, but overall and under performer in terms of Silicon.
Despite getting poor quality CPU, it uses slightly less voltage on this board than it did on my x470 gaming wifi 7.
Both boards have Great VRMS

The Aorus Master, is designed more for the 12 and 16 core parts, so I am wasting a bit of power. I'll be upgrading the power supply, CPU and GPU a bit later. The Board has all of the features I was looking for.
1) Dual Bios
2) 50 amp power stages
3) Finned Heatsink
4) Clear CMOS and Power Reset
5) Plenty of USB
6) Bios is moving up in the world
7) IOMMU Groups,
8) more voltage control
9) so many features in the BIOS.

This was spendy, but worth the money.
Under ideal conditions, I would water cool the CPU and chipset and use for a server or high end work station.
It could also be used for Gaming, but keep in mind that with a 6 core cpu, you're wasting power.
the 5000 series 12 and 16 core should handle gaming OK when watercooled if the rumors are true, but lower core parts usually due better in gaming as they handle the heat a bit better.

Memory Support on this board is off the chain. Ok maybe that's exaggerating, but it's pretty good and especially for the 5000 series parts.

I swapped my NVME from the x470 gaming wifi 7 into the Aorus Master, and it was seemless to move over.
Keep in mind that I didn't use secure boot, stuck with the same manufacturer, and uninstalled drivers first.

Saw some critical review of the early board models. Likely folks messing with bios settings they don't understand or using RAM that hasn't been validated. Also, I have version 1.2. Kind of thinking the Super IO Chip was updated or the x570 chip was redone, but nothing major.

Update: this board (mine is v1.2) is running strong. I've have my G.Skill 3200 cl14 up to 3600mhz cl 16. Using Samsung Bdie. I have 32gb. 4x8gb single rank running at default xmp 3200 cl14. Haven't tested 3600 cl16 for stability.

Crucial Ballistix 3600mhz 64gb installed and works with XMP and no issues.

I'm experiencing issues with Onboard Audio. No rear audio in 5.1 surround. The audio driver recognizes that all speakers are plugged in, but no dice. I've tried to pairs of speakers with the same results and have to reinstall the Audio Drivers after windows updates, and the surround may or may not work. Reaching out to gigabyte to troubleshoot.

At first release in 2019 many of the X570's including the early revisions of this model were problematic for what amounts to early adopters/testers who posted negative reviews. My experience is nothing but positive for revision 1.2 which is what is being sold as I write this.

If you want a fully loaded X570 Motherboard with top VRM's for overclocking or just full stability and cool temperatures, 3 onboard PCIE 4 NVMe's, 2 Ethernet ports, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, plenty of 2 Amp fan headers, RGB headers, multiple types of external USB case headers, a Top motherboard DAC & sound options this is a board for you. Yes, it also has the 4 lead Thunderbolt header for the optional Thunderbolt accessory next to the SATA connectors. I have no current plans for the Thunderbolt, but it is a nice option to have when reselling this board in the future.

Revision 1.2 is with the current Bios is solid and stable. This is my second purchase of this motherboard and I admit the first one that was version 1.0 had some problems, but that was the 2019 version from 2 years ago. My review is based on what's being sold today. BTW - I did save $100 buying the Warehouse Deals version that claimed to have minor cosmetic flaws that turned out to be nothing but scratches on a 2nd hidden film layer which stubbornly removed to reveal a perfect board underneath that included all accessories. I recommend used from Amazon Warehouse deals only - not other vendors nor I'm I crazy about repaired or refurbished with missing accessories sold by 3rd party vendors.

This board booted the first time powered on and has not had a hiccup since. I did update to the latest BIOS the first time I powered it on. Yes, it will update the Bios with or without a CPU and memory - so ignore reviews that say otherwise. In other words, you do not have to buy or borrow an older CPU or take it to a shop for a Bios update if you purchase with a 5000 series CPU and the BIOS is an older version.

I upgraded to this X570 AORUS MASTER board from the X470 WiFi Gaming 7 which I was happy with, but I had been running short on space on my old NVMe boot drive thus a larger NVMe was required and since PCIE 4 drives were available and faster I decided to upgrade to a PCIE 4 capable motherboard (X570 AORUS MASTER) at the same time with other potential new Ryzen advantages, but I'm still using the 3900x due to 5900x unavailability.

Turns out the PCIE 4 NVMe drive not only runs faster, but it's cooler on this board because the top NVMe drive port is not covered by your GPU like it was on the Wifi Gaming 7 X470, leading to a much cooler operating temperature drive.

However note the 2nd NVMe port is now under the GPU instead, but that's not my primary boot drive running hotter anymore while the 3rd port at the bottom of the board remains unobstructed, but you will give up 2 of your SATA ports if you use that 3rd NVMe port option.

Getting around Bios is a great improvement over the X470, just more user friendly and intuitive.

The Sound has also improved over the X470 version and I can hear much more subtle details and it is all crystal clear without any static. I don't there there's better integrated sound options out there short of buying extra professional sound CARDS and DAC's.

I'm using this X570 AORUS MASTER as my daily driver for work, Internet and light gaming which thus far hasn't had a hiccup and just looks and feels solid.

ASUS used to be my primary goto boards because I liked the Bios and the EXTRA troubleshooting codes and onboard reset buttons, but since they stripped away those options from all but top tier boards (no Strix or PRIME) I've been using Gigabyte at a lower price point with dual Bios's, the troubleshooting codes and reset buttons since Ryzen came out and with this X570 MASTER version with the latest bios is as good or better than any of the ASUS models in the price range or their top tier boards.

If I notice anything particularly good or bad about this motherboard I will add to this review, but I just wanted to write a good review to counter some of the older obsolete negatives that it doesn't currently deserve as I wouldn't hesitate to use it in another build today.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelente Motherboard.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Top Notch Board

This board feels very high quality and very hefty. The BIOS is certainly not as clean as say ASUS but it is very functional but items are usually harder to find if you're not familiar with Gigabyte but this board does improve on the past Gigabyte BIOS in the past. I do not regret going for this board and would choose it over ASUS any day. I've tried both boards and noticed with the ASUS boards, the chipset fan curve seems to be too aggressive. It is always running around the 2800-3000 rpm mark and it is loud compared to the AORUS boards while audible it is not as loud and runs at a lower rpm. The board itself has lots of other features like Dual Bios, Q Code, Voltage monitoring points, and 3x m.2 slots and lots of USB Headers for your RGB/Fan Controllers. So far there haven't been any major issues. The only real downside to the AORUS boards is the software. The RGB software is very limited in patterns and the other software I recommend you don't use as they are simply not worth the time to install as they are extremely buggy

I've always had a thing for Gigabyte but it wasn't always that way.
I was a PC building virgin in the middle of 2014 when I made no money and by brother and I saved up to build our first gaming PC. We went with the best bang for buck graphics card GTX 970 and got the coolest looking of them all; the Gigabyte G1 Gaming 3x.

It started there with all the little features like a metal backplate and fan shroud (they don't make them like that anymore these days its all plastic) 7 color windforce logo and ooh that new graphics card smell.

Fast forward to 2020 and I make my own money and want to build a PC that will let me move on with my life but alwaye have a good system if I ever want to do anything.
AMD AM4 was the obvious choice now but the big question was what kind of mother board? In all reality I wouldn't need anything but the best but I really tho I wanted something I'd never have to think about again so it had to be X570.
All the choices were so expensive and this is coming from a guy whose first mobo purchase in 2014 was the AsRock Z97 Pro4 that costed less than 200AUD.
The choices were endless but I was sure of two things; that I wanted a postcode and I wanted a M.2 ssd heatspreader. Now along came a guy by the name of Buildzoid in a GamersNexus video who apparently knew everything there is to know about motherboards and What He Said as an actually hardcore overclocking person, was that there was nothing bad about it and that in fact it was his favorite X570 board.
I was sold.

Today I have the board in my hands (PC)
It is beautiful coming from budget Mobos all my life and although it is $100 more expensive than the GTX 970 G1 Gaming I bought 6 years ago I am very happy with it and even all the little stickers they gave.
