They also say that the WiFi is blazing quick, and that they have not had any latency issues. Price was superb for quality product.
Package arrived as advertised and installation simple. Found 5 Band not operating. Contacted technical support team at Feb with no difficulty via email and received fabulous support. Would definitely recommend this product and company for all.
Bad product, bad company,
Follow-up - they contacted me and said they were going to replace it. Last I heard; commitment with NO action.
I have NEVER been able to get the 5G to work. Made the major mistake of trying to work with the supplier rather than IMMEDIATELY returning this card so, as a result of "working" with them, the return period has expired. I followed their advice and ordered more powerful antennas and tried their re-configuring advice. My state of the art desktop PC with dual 14 inch antenna cannot even see 5G most times and, when it does, it usually won't connect. The router is 14 feet away. My CELL PHONE picks up 5G from the street in front of the house.
I paid to have the card professionally installed so that isn't the problem.
My advice to everyone is to find a different brand and supplier. These are unreliable.
Wireless connection works great. I've been able to connect using either band and have not had any latency issues. (HAVE NOT USED IT FOR GAMING). I been able to connect to several different wireless printers.
First off, my PC is hard-wired into the modem. I normally get an upload/download of 320/30 mb/s when wired, as a reference to the card's capabilities. That being said, I mainly got this adapter for Bluetooth capabilities, and also the ease of transportation and use of my PC without access to a wired connection. This card gets me an upload/download of 80/30 mb/s, which is honestly pretty great (although I'm basically 1 foot away from the router/modem). Obviously, I can't get the same speeds as my wired connection, but 80 mb/s isn't a bad download speed, and I'm also surprised my upload speed didn't change. But, keep in mind this is all off of the 2G channel.
As for Bluetooth, it seems to work very well. I decided to test the range by using a portable speaker and walking across the house. I was VERY surprised to see that I didn't begin to get a choppy reception until I was at the wall ON THE OTHER SIDE OF MY HOUSE. There are a few walls in the way, but it is approximately 20+ yards away. Very good Bluetooth, and I'm glad I didn't have to waste a USB port for that quality.
Now it is time why I explain that this product doesn't deserve 5 stars.
The 5G channel straight up doesn't work. I noticed another review mentioned he had a choppy signal with his 5G, but mine won't give me anything. It allows me to connect, and also says secure, but it just doesn't seem to work. This is a bummer because I am so close to the router/modem and I was hoping to use that superior WiFi channel. Feb Smart, if there is a solution to this, I'd love to hear it. I do have to say it isn't a huge issue though, because I'm so close to my router/modem that I will stay wired almost all of the time. The times I may need a WiFi connection would be, for example, bringing my PC to a friend's house, whereas the 2G channel will normally be the better connection because of distance from the router/modem.
Secondly, and probably the biggest issue, I noticed that while I am using my Bluetooth connection while using the WiFi capabilities, it seems to half my download speeds. While playing music through my Bluetooth speaker, my WiFi speeds on the 2G channel (obviously) had an upload/download of 30/30 mb/s. I found it weird it didn't seem to effect my upload speed, but it dropped my download to WORSE THAN HALF. So if you plan to use the WiFi card and utilize the Bluetooth capabilities at the same time, it may be better for you to get a separate, USB oriented Bluetooth network.
For my purposes, this card works fine, maybe even better than expected. I got it for $43, which isn't a bad price. 4/5 stars, and hoping I can enable my 5G channel.
