Great Monitor, but THERE IS NO DISPLAYPORT CABLE INCLUDED w/ THIS 240hz monitor!

Great Monitor, but THERE IS NO DISPLAYPORT CABLE INCLUDED w/ THIS 240hz monitor!
I don't know if it's my specific unit, but there was no displayport cable, so I couldn't get 240hz without getting another displayport cable. This monitor also had light bleed on the bottom left area, but it went away after about 30 minutes. So far, this monitor is great for gaming. I'm hitting more of my shots, and that's coming from a 144hz VA panel. Image quality is sub par, but this is going to be used primarily for gaming.UPDATE: I ordered a replacement because there's a piece of metal sticking in front of one of the HDMI ports. Also, I looked up the manual online, and there was supposed to be a Displayport included. The light bleeding went away though, and everything else about this monitor is fantastic for gaming, especially on games like Overwatch. Acer, you did a great job, but the QC and missing cable justified a replacement for me.Final update: 3/5 because customer support said they'd send me a displayport cable. I opted for replacement instead, and when the second monitor arrived, I saw that it also didn't have a displayport cable. Why would Acer sell a 240hz monitor and not include the cable to achieve 240hz? All my other gaming monitors came with the necessary cables to get it to its advertised speeds. The online manual also said a displayport cable should be included, but Acer's online support said that it was "optional," but all the other included cables, like HDMI and USB, were also labelled as "optional."Gaming wise, this beats the MSI 240hz 0.5ms G-Sync monitor because it doesn't trail as much when the overdrive setting is set to extreme, but again, this doesn't come with the necessary cable to get to 240hz right out of the box! That's another 10-20 dollars needed to get the most out of this monitor.

The monitor is huge and looks great. I have played on it for a couple months now and I love it. Colors looks great for a TN panel and the freesync/gsync on it works fantastic. Never any screen tearing and 1440P looks amazing. Using this on my PC which is a Ryzen 3600X and RTX 2070 Super paired with 32GB of 3600mhz ram. Got on my games installed on a 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD and they all run maxed out 100-144 FPS with zero lag or screen tearing in 1440P! Amazing response time with tons of color and menu options. Hardly any bezel at all. It comes with a nice stand but mine is VESA mounted and looks great. Just check out the pictures. If you’re looking for a great 1440p 144 FPS monitor for gaming look no further.

This monitor is HUGE! Love it! I had to tweak the color settings a bit to get it where I like it, but after that it's absolutely gorgeous.

True 144hz, true 1ms, and true 1440p. Absolutely stunning monitor. Barely any hit to FPS in gaming going from 1080p to 1440p on a 7700k and a 1070. Upgrade to a GTX 1080 and I think it'd be golden. Still hitting 144fps in most games except for super open world or high detail games, but even then 90+ is tolerable.

Monitor is absolutely gorgeous and I could never go back to 1080p. Will definitely be buying this again to replace my second monitor when I get a chance.

No dead pixels on arrival, setup was easy, excellent mobility and adjustments, sits sturdy on the desk, has USB passthroughs, extremely slim bezels... I have literally nothing to complain about! For the price, especially, this monitor was absolutely perfect.

I'm writing this after only a few days of owning this monitor (5/18/2020) and so far it's fantastic. Main reason I bought this was bc I wanted better refresh and resolution, and all the other specs were enticing as well. There were some settings I screwed up on my own with my xbox one x, but after fixing it I can finally play games @ 1440p @ 120hz. Xbox won't go up to 144hz so I can't blame Acer for that lol

If anyone is having similar issues with getting your xbox one x up to those settings:
1. On the monitor, "hdmi 2" is the high speed 2.0 port, not "hdmi 1" which is a 1.4 port
2. In your xbox settings > general > tv & display options > resolution should be at 1440p > refresh rate should be at 120hz
3. If 1440p or 120hz aren't options, click on "video modes" on the right side and make sure "allow variable refresh rate" and "allow ycc 4:2:2" are both checked.
4. If you can't do anything of these things, then either your xbox isn't capable of them (old model) or you were sent the wrong monitor.
5. Just an extra tip to help you along the way... on the monitor OSD settings, navigate down to "OSD" underneath picture, color, audio, and gaming and turn on "refresh rate num" which will display the refresh rate in large yellow print on the top right. This will confirm what refresh rate you are at while messing with settings.

Also, I am unable to turn on my 24hz and 50hz options, but I don't really care. And I never messed around with any TV calibration or any of those other options.

I'll do my best to update this if anything changes. It will remain to be seen if this is actually compatible with the new xbox series coming later this year...

Coming from a benq xl2411z 144hz monitor this thing is noticeably a lot smoother. The main reason I got this monitor is because its one of the first ones to use the 2nd generation 240hz panel at a reasonable price, and from my experience the faster response time from the new panel is definitely worth it. I've tried the alienware 240hz before this which uses the older panel and it was a good monitor but it had noticeable ghosting which I couldn't live with. The colors from this are pretty meh but I haven't really spent that much time tuning it but the reason you buy this monitor is for the performance not the picture quality. The monitor can also strobe up to 240hz which they don't even advertise but its a pretty handy feature that most of the older 240hz monitors can't do besides the benq xl2546.

I have 2 negatives so far with this monitor and is the reason I took a star off, one being the sharpness option in the OSD is kinda trash imo because it makes weird extra lines around certain images which get annoying, and the only option is on or off which you kinda have to turn it on otherwise the image is a bit blurry. On my benq you have a wider adjustment level for sharpness which I miss. My 2nd gripe I have with this monitor is my vesa monitor arm does not work with this because it doesn't fit in the square cutout in the back of the monitor so i'm forced to use the stand it comes with.

All in all I would say this monitor is worth it over all the previous generation 240hz monitors especially for the price, except maybe the benq xl2546 since that one has a superior backlight strobing feature.
