    This SSD is good value for money, and it works amazingly perfect on my Dell Vostro laptop computer. However, one must buy a M.2 NVME SSD Enclosure Adapter, USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) to NVME PCI-E M-Key Solid State Drive External Enclosure (Fits only NVMe PCIe 2242/2260/2280) and install the cloning software Macrium Reflect Home Edition which was free. Then I followed the Macrium instructions and cloned the original C:\ drive to the WD SSD, took the original SSD out from Dell Vostro and replaced it with the cloned WD SSD. The computer works immediately and is very fast without touching upon the software side of the DELL Vostro.

    This drive a very good value. It lives up to the read and write speeds that are advertised, which are quite high. There are things you should be careful of if you’re shopping for a M.2 SSD and considering this Drive. It is a NVMe (non-volatile memory express) drive, that runs at PCIe gen 3 speeds.
    M.2 is a physical connection type, and is simply just the shape of the plug. But similar to how different countries have different power plugs on the walls, the shape of the plug doesn’t really change the type or strength of the signal being sent.
    Additionally, there are multiple data transfer standards that M.2 drives use to communicate with the rest of the system. SATA III is the older standard, and is much slower than the new NVMe standard. NVMe uses your CPU or Motherboard chipset’s PCIe lanes, for much faster connections. You can find M.2 drives that use both of these standards, so make sure that you pay attention to the data transfer protocol that your drive uses.
    Lastly, if you have a fancy NVMe drive, be sure that you note what kind of connection speeds the M.2 slot on your motherboard can run at. Even if you have a NVMe drive, if your M.2 slot on the motherboard can only run at SATA3 speeds, your performance will only be that of if you had gotten a SATA3 drive anyways. Also note the PCIe generation your drive and slot use, with PCIe gen3.0 being slower than gen 4.0, though NVMe PCIe Gen 4.0 drives aren’t yet widely available for regular consumers.

    This drive was very easy to install. Just make sure you have the right standoff and screw combo from your motherboard and it's installed in minutes.

    In case it matters to anyone this drive is packaged for "professional installation". So it doesn't include any instructions. Thankfully installing an M.2 drive is just about the easiest thing ever.

    My new motherboard has two NVME slots, so I bought this to be a secondary drive. I've used it for storage and I've installed a couple of large programs on it and everything went smoothly with no issues. As a bonus, the speed is fantastically fast!

    For the first few months I would take occasional looks at the temperature of the drive, and it was always super cool, so no issues to worry about there.

    I'm overall quite pleased with this and would certainly recommend it. Thanks to Western Digital for making a great product and thanks to Amazon for having a great sale on Prime Day!

    I bought this for my small NAS server I have at home for video/music/photo storage. I previously used a samsung 830 120GB drive for booting my server, but some of the programs I used wanted more space on the C: drive and I wanted super fast booting. I run an amd ryzen 2200G with 8gb ram and 22TB of storage (constantly on, and another 20tb cold storage). This drive wasn't listed in the supported drives from asrock for my A320M-HDV motherboard, but I took the leap and it is working perfectly for me. I used the WD branded Arconis drive cloning software to move everything over and it took only about 4 minutes longer than me going to use the bathroom and getting a drink before it was done. My boot times were reduced somewhat (they were pretty quick before) and apps open immediately.

    It's plenty big for anyone looking to upgrade a modern laptop that has m.2 nvme. I already had a WD Blue 500 GB SSD for main storage for almost 2 years without issues so I'm happy with WD. I moved a few games over to it that I play more frequently and that could benefit from quicker access. So far in everything I've tested it is a very solid performing drive. I debated partitioning it but I didn't really need to, it just helps when imaging to keep as much of your docs and files on another partition to keep Windows slim.

    It's not a top of the line performer but now you don't have to go sata to save a few bucks.

    Installation was a bit of a challenge for me. I inserted the chip into the appropriate NVMe slot to prepare it for a clean install of Win 10 from ISO. The Win 10 OS on the existing SATA SSD drive saw the new memory chip, but my Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI motherboard would not recognize it. I then changed the BIOS from UEFI to Legacy and now both the BIOS and Win 10 on the SATA drive recognized the chip. I formatted the card for a clean install of Win 10, but for some reason was directed to alternate back and forth from MBR to GPT and finally back to MBR for it to install. Once installed, the BIOS goes directly to the new chip for startup. My prior boot drive was a SATA SSD and most of my applications are browsing and email. I don't do a lot of demanding gaming nor video editing, so I haven't noticed a big bump in the speed of the machine, but it runs just fine and is reliable. I needed to fiddle with things a bit for it to install, but that is probably more related to my inexperience with the NVMe interface than the fault of the chip. I recommend the chip especially if you are switching from a traditional HDD to SSD. My only lament was that it was not available in 1TB size at a reasonable price.

I had a heart attack when I realized there were 2 notches on the ssd but that actually means it's compatible with pretty much all types of pcie slots. THANK GOD. I'll update if it breaks but for now it's a fantastic buy for anyone looking for a good pcie ssd.

    Use esta unidad para hacer el upgrade de mi laptop una "HP Pavilion x360 convertible 14-dh1010la".

    Cosas a favor:

    - En este caso hice un upgrade de 256 GB que traía de frabria a los 500 GB de esta unidad.
    - No solo aumente el espacio, si no también la velocidad de mi equipo.
    - Laptop no era lenta, pero con esta unidad aumento aun más su velocidad de respuesta en general.
    - Lo he probado con video juegos y funciones en general y aun que lo he usado con tareas demandantes la unidad siempre esta prácticamente al 5 o 10% de su uso en cuanto a escritura y lectura.
    - Nunca tuve problemas de compatibilidad.

    Cosas en contra:

    - Hasta el momento ninguna.

    Lo volvería a comprar de ser necesario y su calidad precio fue muy bueno teniendo en cuenta otras alternativas que había mucho más caras.

    Montato su una torretta del pc è una mina (ovvio, anche grazie al processore), fa la sua differenza quando lo si usa.
    L'unica cosa è che bisogna aggiornare il firmware, se no fa partire il computer dal BIOS ogni volta e all'inizio mi ha fatto credere che ci fossero problemi di compatibilità.
