I have this PowerColor ITX RX 6400 for couple days now.I have a very old PC that has a i7-4790 and a GTX 745. The 745 won't cut it anymore. The 745 can run old games ok but newer games run like slide show. I am looking for the cheapest GPU I can find. The PowerColor RX-6400 is the cheapest and is available.I pulled out the 745 and plugged in this 6400. Downloaded the latest driver from AMD and started playing some of my games. The latest driver crashed Tomb Raider. So, I downloaded an older driver version. The game could run with the older version ok.This PowerColor fits nicely in my case. It runs fast and cold. Temperature is between 50 to 65C most of the time. The fan comes on only if there is a load. The 745 runs very hot around 75C when under load. This card has a HDMI and a DP ports. My motherboard also has a HDMI and a DP ports. I can have a total of 4 monitors plugged to my PC without any problem. The AMD Adrenalin app is pretty good. I can overlay the metrics on the screen to see the fps, fan speed, and other info while playing the games. The only thing I miss is the video encoder. I can use the HD 4600 in the i7 to encode but it is hit and miss. The Intel encoder driver does not like 2 GPUs in the PC. It crashes during encoding all the time. If I remove the RX 6400, I can encode with the iGPU without any problem. The HD 4600 is not as fast as the GTX 745 but it is much faster then using the i7 alone.Games run over 60 fps at 1080p now. Very old games run over 300 fps. I am happy with this PowerColor.I have some pictures.5 stars.

I got this product to upgrade a small form factor Dell I got on a liquidation sight to play some old pc games. It handles everything extremely well prior to 2016 without lag or screen tear. However, when running multiple tasks the gpu gets very hot and begin to run slow. The unit will get up to 85 Celsius and beyond which is above the rating for most thermal pastes that is used so I have to let it rest every once in a while. It was easy to install, I would recommend putting in with a pc with multiple fans. It came in a nice box and had a great sleek appearance.

Just bought an older HP Xeon Workstation for cloud development, and just needed a cheap card for good dual monitor support. I'm running Fedora 38, I dropped the card in, booted up the machine, and worked like a charm without any further hassle. Obviously I don't game with the card, but full HD video on YouTube runs very smoothly. Excellent, inexpensive, practical purchase for a dev box.

    PROs:
    - ~50W max power draw (no external PCIe power connectors). However, I haven't seen it exceed 40W while gaming. 1W idling in Windows 10. 9W while watching a YouTube video.
    - Something unheard of in this caregory of GPUs: double ball bearing fan AND a fan stop feature: turns on above 59 degrees C, turns off below 50 degrees C. Overall, the fan is... fantastic: never louder than a whisper even at 100% GPU load (spins at around 1200 rpm) and is never on while not gaming.
    - Enough power (similar to GeForce GTX 1650) to play some less demanding games (i.e. Grid Autosport) at 1440p/60 fps on high/ultra settings.

    CONS:
    - None at this price point. However, the tinkerers should be aware that neither performance (overlockling, undervolting, etc.) nor fan (curve) is tunable in the AMD Adrelalin control app. However, the default fan curve is just fine so the absence of fan curve tuning is a non-issue.

    CONCLUSION: Great value at MSRP.

There's nothing this card can't do for 1080p gaming. This gpu can run every game at 1080p, the "problem" is the settings, some games can go well at ultra like Crash Bandicoot 4, some others goes good at "original" like Horizon forbidden or God of War at 60 fps but games like Elden ring you have to go down all over low and still not enough for 60 fps stable, is somewhere around 40-55 without counting the lows.

I personally do either FSR ultra quality or RSR from 900p to 1080p and looks good plus the performance "saved" can go for textures higher or something not that big, I personally don't like having my cards at high temperature so as long as 1080p and 60 fps I'm good. I didn't tried competitive but it should do good except maybe for Warzone which might have an issue for the vram.

    Anyways I played with pci 3.0 and a r3 3200g as cpu.

Is a good card, not the best but is definetly greater than integrated, about twice or 3 times better than the best APU, also we having support because is the 6000 series so we good for another 2-3 generations, I use this as my secondary build and I'm more than happy. And lastly I have a basic psu which is not even 80 plus certificate and is running fine, thank god the low wattage.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Card is a little beast

I played Dirt 3 complete edition @ 1600x900 (900p) MSAA 2x, in High preset settings, i was getting average 85 fps. This card should be perfect to play 1080p games released before 2016. It's GDDR5 makes it a big difference with memory clock and the core clock can easily overclock at 900 mhz with keeping 68c at 70% fan speed using the latest AMD driver which was from 2021. I am impressed from its performance even though it's been bought for basic use rather then gaming but it is way better then the on board Intel gpu. Using Intel G4620 @ 3.7ghz and 8gb (2x4) DDR4 2133 cas 14 rams. I would give this card 10/10 for it's price and 4gb of GDDR5 vram.

Thus is by no means a good card. But if your desperate for a newer card this might be worth it.
90+ fps in warframe on medium
    120+fps rocketleague on performance
80+ fps in league of legends on medium.
    Struggles with dual monitor use.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for emulation and turning pc into console-like experience.

I actually wanted to buy a new RX 580 8gb GPU (almost same price as the rx 6400) for my new mini desktop budget pc that's been build by a certain company in my country.
But i got confused with the power connector cables and everything.
Couldn't find the proper pins and connectors that are attached to the PSU.
Just casual user here that finally managed to upgrade my steamdeck and ps5 internal ssd.
But i went with the RX 6400 4GB because of simple plug in and replacing the Vega graphics inside the Ryzen 7 5700G.
EDIT: Actually later on i kept looking inside the pc and understood how to connect a GPU with the PSU.
But the mini desktop pc and RX 6400 are both very lightweight and not that power hungry.
So it's actually perfect i didn't understood how to connect a GPU with power cable at first.

For much stronger games (especially the ones asking more than 4gb vram) i'm using my series x and ps5 (with now built-in 2TB SSD)
So my new mini desktop pc with Ryzen 5700G+RX 6400 4GB, 32GB ram and 2TB SSD with ChimeraOS will do the trick for my retro/emulation gaming purpose and indie/"retro inspired" games.
ChimeraOS, AMD hardware and EmuDeck are like a dream come true for retro gamers.

And with the RX 6400 i can now also play the "online playing infuriating raging" Tekken 8 on steam in 1080p with medium settings, FSR balanced. 60fps.
Instead of tekken 8 in 720p low settings+amd fsr performance with the default Ryzen 7 5700G Vega graphics.
But sometimes i did encounter some fps slowdowns, or at least fps dips with tekken8 at a certain stage.
Warhammer Boltgun now runs in 1080p with default high to ultra settings. 60fps. sometimes dipping to 48 or something.
This is with SteamOS/ChimeraOS. No idea how it will run in windows. But i'll keep it console-like.

    About the PowerColor RX 6400:
Was kind of worried about experiencing stutters with the PCIe 3.0 motherboard inside my pc. Because of certain user reviews i've read.
Just got the GPU and have not tested too many games at the moment.
But for now pcsx2 emulation can be run at 1440p with nice settings and everything.

For now i'm giving it 4 star. But no idea how it will be in the long run.
    Buono per il prezzo
