Product Description

Following the fall of Akenash tower, an extraordinary matter has forced Styx out of hiding and into Korrangar, city of the Dark Elves. Have already played game before on pc and loved it so had to get it for ps4 to support Cyanide Studios and Focus Interactive. Loved Styx Master of Shadows. Game is a hardcore stealth game.. assassin creed experience doesnt count. Also need to give a shoutout to Of Orcs and Men. The game that first introduced Styx the Goblin. Styx is a foul mouthed funny Goblin in a heavily infestation of lore with a unique look at the greenskins instead of the humans. Hoping to see more Styx adventures.

If you are looking for a stealth game, look no further. You have skills point trees in the game to specialize, and the ability to change skills at the hide out. The level of difficulty is relative, however you can save almost at any time if needed.

Styx can go full stealth, fighter, deception, trickery, and item specialization. This game has Co-op, and abilities to help in that area. To complete the game and all of the challenges it might take you a while. There are some large sized bosses that are quite fun to figure out. Some treasure hunting can be expected as well. Styx has many outfits to specialize gameplay, and daggers/fist to equip. The mission maps can be rather huge btw.

There are a variety of enemies to kill, trap, deceive, poison, incapacitate, run by, or get past. Styx does have some language that is not suited for young children.

When you get a certain number of skill related items, a special skill opens up for use.

The graphics are pretty good as is the story line, but there is too much creeping around even for me, someone who likes to scavenge and explore and not just rush through a game. The problem is that it doesn't take long before there are too many enemies. It doesn't seem possible to take them all out so you must sneak above, below, or around them making it difficult (or impossible for me) to collect everything. I've lost interest a couple chapters in but may give it another shot.

Played the demo and thought I would give it a try comparing it to the earlier Thief games. There a some good mechanics, but a lot poorer ones such as the inability to close doors and with the sound (or lack of it). It seemed that it was easy for enemies to just walk up to you from behind because you could not hear their footsteps or other signs. There is a lot of leap frogging in this game resulting in a bit of untimely deaths. It became too repetitive and frustrating for me to even want to finish the game. The graphics were pretty good however, and the comments of Styx after his death was funny at first, but after the hundredth time it became annoying. A lot of water in the game, but stay away from it. Styx does not swim very well at all.
