    Product Description

    Product Description

The Celestron SkyMaster 15x70mm binocular is the ideal choice for amateur astronomers or anyone who observes at great distances. The 70mm objective lenses have excellent light-gathering capabilities, delivering superior low-light performance, even in the dimmest conditions. Choose SkyMaster for dusk, dawn, and nighttime astronomical viewing. Moreover, the prisms inside the binocular are made of high-quality BaK-4 glass so that more light is reflected off their internal faces and passes through to the eye. The multi-coated lenses and BaK-4 prisms maximize light transmission for remarkably bright, highly detailed images. The binocular's durable exterior housing protects your SkyMaster from damage without weighing you down. Viewing through the SkyMaster binoculars is comfortable for eyeglass and non-eyeglass wearers, thanks to the foldable rubber eyecup. The SkyMaster binocular is tripod-adaptable, so you can use the built-in binocular tripod adapter to mount it on any standard photographic tripod or monopod for extended viewing or digiscoping (photography through the eyepiece). Buy with confidence from the world’s No.1 telescope brand and a leading binocular manufacturer, based in California since 1960. You’ll also receive a Limited Lifetime warranty and unlimited access to technical support from our team of US-based experts.

Binoculars come in a wide range of shapes and sizes these days, and an even wider range of prices. It's easy to spend less than $100 or more than $500 for what may appear to be, at least outwardly, comparable models. While they may look the same, they are probably quite different on the inside.

    My First Astronomical Binoculars
I bought these binoculars specifically to watch the progress toward the conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter on 2020-12-21, but 2020-12-13 was the last clear sky. I attached a picture to show you what quality I got. I was looking for a low price point for astronomical binoculars, and I am satisfied."Frequently bought together" lists Celestron 81035 Smartphone Adaptor...please read its reviews before buying. For my Samsung S8+, 73mm wide, with front camera at horizontal center, I bought the Gorsky spotting scope smarphone camera adaptor to fit the Celestron - SkyMaster Giant 15x70 Binoculars. I had some doubts when I read the dimensions in the ad, it said "...eyepiece outer diameter btwn 25mm-45mm." I used a digital caliper, and it was borderline on 45mm. That was the first day I had the binoculars in my hands. I asked a product question "Do the eyepieces fold down when you attach a camera?" and the answers I received were "Yes." I tried to fold them down, like opening a clam shell. But there was no hinge point. I finally discovered that the eyepieces fold down like the top of a sock. The Gorsky goes on snugly, but there is a bit of leeway. Turn the outer ring to tighten the 3 jaws."Frequently bought together lists" BARSKA binocular tripod adaptor. Yes, buy it with the SkyMaster Giant 15x70 Binoculars. The plastic adaptor that comes with the binoculars will function, but it wobbles so much, you will want a metal adaptor. I bought a FIZZ, it is fine. The carry bag needs a flap pocket. What am I supposed to do with the 3 lens covers, the lens cleaning cloth, and the strap? (Hmm...I keep the binoculars on the tripod, and the lens covers in the bag. That works.) The KobraTech 70 Inch Tripod is plenty heavy duty, and comes with a bluetooth shutter clicker with 2 buttons for iOS and Android.

Reviewed in Canada on August 31, 2023
I bought the used one with good price CAD 90 + Tax, I'm actually very happy with the purchase. It is almost new, no scratch even minor ones. View is very clear, very powerful zoom, in daytime you can view very far and things are much clear. I mostly use in night time for stars and moon.

Last week, visited the dark sky site and saw the beautiful sky with full of stars with naked eye and once I used this binocular then I and my kids were really amazed. We also saw the Jupiter and its 4 or 5 shining moons and also saw the Saturn with its rings.

Last night, viewed the Super Blue Moon (August 30, 2023) from my balcony and moon was really brighter and clear from the binocular, I never saw the moon that much brighter and clear live from my eyes. I also captured the pictures from my Samsung Galaxy S21 FE phone camera through the eyepiece of binocular and pictures are attached but not that clear as it was directly from binocular but still I love these pictures. I had to take these pictures via PRO mode with different ISO, Aperture and White Balance settings hence moon colors are different.

This is the first binocular I bought in my life and I'm really happy.

I also bought the Amazon basics Tripod stand for night sky view for long time.

It is not very light but I and my kids can hold and view the moon and sky easily but if you want to see planet like Saturn or Jupiter then you will need Tripod stand otherwise due to vibration from your hands you cannot view properly or if you want to take pictures of sky and moon then you must need Tripod stand.

I definitely recommend Celestron 15x70 binocular.

(Acrux). Vale muito à pena!
