Product Description

Get the same high-performance kettle BBQ grill that is synonymous with the Weber name, now outfitted with a heavy duty steel cart, side table, LCD timer and charcoal bin. The Weber Performer Premium 22 in. charcoal grill also boasts the tuck-away lid holder that acts as a pair of extra hands to cradle the lid while you tend to the main course. The cooking platform is a 363 sq. in. gourmet BBQ system hinged cooking grate with a removable center section that accommodates separately-sold Weber cooking components. After you've feasted on a finger-licking meal, simply pivot the three damper blades in the kettle basin to funnel charcoal dust into the removable ash catcher underneath.

Just received this grill yesterday. It is very sturdy. As a somewhat handy 65 yr old woman, it took me a couple of hours to assemble. The directions were pretty straight forward but assembling the lid holder was a bit of a challenge. The directions pics were a bit sketchy on that part. There are online 3-D app instructions but I opted to use the included direction manual. This grill is very well constructed, quite heavy duty, so I expect it will hold up to many years of grilling. The built-in charcoal bin (holds 30 lbs) is a big plus, as is the sturdy large table area to the right of the grill. The lid has a built-in thermometer. A sturdy, large, detachable grease "pail" attaches to the bottom of the grill, comes off easily. And the lid holder is a great feature. Love this grill and look forward to using it.

Product arrived packaged very well, and no damage that I could notice from shipping. I did however find the grill grate's outer ring had a broken weld on it while assembling. I registered my grill on Weber's website and contacted customer support to inquire on a replacement grate, and they were very friendly, and quick to send me a replacement grate! ($53 value) I'm looking forward to using this grill.

When assembling, there are two flanges that protrude outward along the lip of the bottom half of the kettle..
These flanges fit over the table frame to secure the kettle to the frame. Problem with ours was that both of those flanges had one bent corner which prevented me from securing all 4 screws. Being as this was near the end of my assembly journey, I did not return it. The flanges are extremely thick metal so there was no fixing it; got 3 of the 4 points to hold; good enough for me.

I can cook 6 large tbones or blister about a dozen green chilies at a time on this bad boy. Once my brain engaged I figured out how to empty the ash bucket but at first I though I had to squeeze the handles completely together and push down. Pictographs aren't my first language so please forgive. Ignore the pictures and just use your eyes.

Super heavy duty grills OMG this thing is a beast. I enjoy using it. You'll want to buy a cover too.

I owned what I believed was the original charcoal, Weber Performer (circa 2000)- red with a black lid, gas igniter and a two-door stainless table top. I really loved that 15 year old or so unit but after a two block travel to a neighborhood gathering, on the return trip, I hit a pot hole and the rusted undercarriage crumbled to the ground. It was not pretty.
I ordered the new Performer and although I resisted the change, I can say with certainty, this unit is an improved "build" than my older Weber unit- much more solid. I assembled it after about 2 beers in a dimly lit garage at night. I would recommend you check out the instructions before you start because I didn't and had to go back. I really feel this is a much improved grill over the last one which generally is not the case as companies tend to "cost reduce" a good product until it's not a good product anymore. Not the case with this Weber! You will be very happy with this purchase.

I had been researching grills for about 3 months, trying to determine whether I should get a Kamado, Pellet, or Kettle. Ultimately I decided that the cost of a Kamado or Pellet grill just would not be worth it, and went with the Weber Performer Premium. I opted for the Premium over the Deluxe, and purchased a chimney starter. This provides you more flexibility with setting up your coals depending on what you are cooking. The propane starter on the Deluxe just did not warrant the $60+ price tag in my opinion. It is very easy to start using a chimney. You put newspaper underneath, coals on the inside, and light the paper from the bottom with a match or lighter. No need for lighter fluid! My first ever attempt at cooking with charcoal ended up being the best pulled pork I've ever tasted. I was able to maintain a low temperature fairly easily, and the burn lasted 8 hours easily, with coals left to spare at the end (I used the Kamado Joe charcoal, as they are larger chunks). I did buy the Weber igrill as well, which works great (though the bluetooth range is not all that great). I do recommend having a probe on the grill to measure temperature as the one on the lid is not overly accurate, and another probe in whatever you are cooking. The BBQ was pretty easy to setup. It took me about an hour with the help of my 10 year old son, though I think 45-60 mins is where most newbies like myself will net out. Next up, smoked salmon!

Tiene un par de canastillas para colocar las brasas y asi moverlas fácilmente, un termómetro en la tapa del asador y su cronometro además de que cuenta con un deposito para el carbón o la leña. This was a birthday gift to my husband and he loves everything about it. We had an older weber grill, but it doesn't have the great ash catcher this one does, which makes cleaning it after use so easy, the lid holder is fantastic, and the table is just the right size. The charcoal holder is good for weber charcoal as the bag re-seals, but I don't think I'd want an open bag in there. I wish I'd bought this years ago!
