4K isn't the sole reason to upgrade;
I needed better built-in speakers, a bigger screen, more picture adjustments and most importantly a remote. This seemed unobtanium, as there are few if any 32" 4K tvs or monitors with speakers and/or remote.
I stumbled across the M7 on Amazon and noticed the remote and it was a 32"4K version and was a very recent release (2021). I immediately jumped on it.
Heres what i like amout the 32" M7:
*Built-in speakers are far better than the ones in my Asus. In Standard mode they aren't tinny or boomy (and you can EQ them too!) and get loud as I ever need.
*Remote is perfect, just having one for using from bed is great!
*My Roku Stick is no longer needed, the M7's built-in apps replace it handily.
*Plugged into my Windows 10 laptop via HDMI, the M7 recognized it instantly. No hiccups or popping like with the Asus.
*VA panel is great. Contrast and brightness are adequate. Colors are acceptable. There is no sign of smearing or crushed gamma. After minor calibration, 4K content is stunning.
*Nearly 100% matte screen.
*Inputs. 2 HDMI isn't terribly common to find on a monitor. USB-C and USB are nice to have.
*Picture settings. HDMI Black Level is a highlight for me as well as Gamma adjustments.
*Important note* This monitor has one big problem with the way Samsung implemented adjustment of picture settings. When plugging in any HDMI device or PC through HDMI, you are limited to picture modes Standard/Dynamic as well as almost all color options disabled. Leaving your input named as HDMI will just give you limited settings.
To bypass this, you need to label your input; First, select the HDMI input you want and press 'Up' on the remote and go to 'Edit'. From there you need to rename the input from a selected list of names (except for PC...that defaults it to limited settings). I just rename my PC to 'Home Theatre'.
I am surprised to find no other obvious issues with this product. However, I did not utilize the USB ports..so can't comment there.
Recommended, 5*'s.
I have always thought that since I am not a hardcore gamer and not a high-end graphic designer investing in a monitor wasn't worth it. I was wrong.
In fact, a few days after working on the Samsung M7 monitor, I purchased a second one. My efficiency at work has seen a major improvement. In addition, having the space to have multiple windows open has been a big help on my eyes.
If you own a Samsung TV, you will be pretty familiar with the layout and the settings options. The 4K picture quality on the monitor is stunning. Obviously, it works well when you are using the apps (Netflix, HBOMax, Hulu, etc.) and watching TV, but it also a noticeable difference when using work applications.
I was also fairly impressed with the sound quality running through the monitor. It is not as great as if you were running high-quality external speakers, but it provides a nice full sound not typically found on a monitor.
Just like Samsung's TV the selection of apps available are good and easy to set up. This allows the monitor to double as a TV (when you're not working of course).
There were a few minor issues that I have experienced with the monitor, but none of them are blockers. The first is that when I was setting up both monitors, no matter what I did, it would not recognize and complete the Bixby voice recognition. I had to go back later to complete that setup. The DEX integration was a little clunky for me, but to be fair, I have never utilized DEX by Samsung, and so it may have been more user error than system error. The last thing that can get a little funky is daisy-chaining the monitors (which may not be a typical use case), but since there is a remote control to operate the monitor, it can be challenging to set one separate from the other, but I am sure with a little research, I can figure that one out.
Overall these monitors are absolutely amazing. I have recommended them to all of my co-workers and my wife also wants one too (she is trying to steal my 2nd one). The price of these monitors is also amazing. I did a bunch of research, and feel confident that you won't find anything else out there with the features and specs of this monitor anywhere close to the price. Love this monitor!

My wife can come in to the room and turn on the Samsung TV. That turns on the TV and turns off the monitor. I turn the monitor back on using the monitor's remote, which is the only way to turn the monitor on or off short of unplugging it. When I do that, the TV gets a popup that says "Not available."
When my wife adjusts the volume on the Samsung TV, it adjusts the volume on the monitor. Same effect when my wife mutes the television for commercials. Un-muting the TV will sometimes un-mute the monitor, but not always.
In theory, I can fix the monitor's response to input from other Samsung remote controls. But that requires that I enable all of the Monitor's, ahem, "smart" features via the Internet, and then do a full setup, also via the internet. I am reluctant to do that, even though our firewall is supposed to be good.
Had I known about these gremlins, I would have bought an LG or some other brand.
Having said that, the image is sharp and excellent. The response time is very good. The sound (when it hasn't been bollixed up by the TV's remote) is nice. But what is blue on my laptop's monitor is purple on the Samsung monitor, and I can't get the colour resolution worked out.
If none of these fun features bother you, this is a great monitor!

The picture is very good - not the best I've seen, but then again my internet speed is too slow for 4K content. I might have a different opinion once I see photos/videos at the native resolution. The brightness isn't great, but it's nowhere near as bad as the reviews would have you believe.
The USB hub has some quirks though. Out of the box, it wouldn't work at all. Then, a week later, it started working. Maybe a firmware update enabled it? Anyways, it ONLY works with mice and keyboards, as far as I can tell. This is a huge bummer, since I have lots of USB MIDI control devices I wanted to connect through the monitor itself. No such luck.
The smart TV features are nice, although I don't personally use them much. The speakers are surprisingly good - for built in speakers, that is. The USB C connection does charge my laptop (XPS 15).
Overall, I'm happy with it.
para el monitor PC, si se conecta con Display Port carga a 60 Hz, en HDMI a 30 Hz con full resolucion 4K en ambos casos.
el equipo llego en perfecto estado, e inclusive antes del tiempo indicado - muy bien!
It looks great on paper and the picture would great if I could see it. I had to rate it 1 star because it’s so dim. It promises 250 nits but the brightness is like it’s set permanently at 50%. I set this up at night with regular led lighting. It was dim at night; that’s saying something. I have another Samsung space monitor 4K 32” VA 250 nits just like this but it’s night and day, almost literally.
I didn’t notice the brightness is a common problem mentioned by other users, but when I looked for it, quite a few people did say the same thing.
I looked up optimal display settings and tried to make it but a lot of settings are greyed out. The brightness is maxed out and no amount of changing settings can fix it. I tried it all. Yes changing from standard to dynamic will help, so will colour standard to cool but then everything is blue and poppy like in the 2000s. I’m in digital design, this doesn’t fly.
Other negatives: There is no display port. No headphone jack. The stand is also terrible. It teeters on 1 screw. Those reviews that say their monitor is swaying back and forth. It’s kind of an exaggeration but also, if your desk wobbles or you bump it, your monitor will wobble more. I didn’t have a huge issue, but the stand is terrible.
Positives:
It’s cool for the TV capabilities and airplay which I wanted. 1x USB c port. Decent speakers. The remote feels good in hand and I like the shortcut buttons to Netflix and prime. Nice thin metal bezel and overall slim profile.
But no amount of functionality can make up for a dim screen. If I can’t see it then I can’t enjoy it.
TLDR:
Con, max brightness is so dim it’s hard to see anything. Lots of other cons. Pro, it’s an aesthetic paperweight.
The unboxing experience was great, the monitor came in secure while light packaging considering the dimensions of the monitor. Let me debunk the biggest concern I had before buying this monitor because of the reviews I read here. This monitor is NOT blurry IF you buy the UHD. I am a software engineer mostly using this for coding and work and for what you pay this is currently the greatest value 4K monitor with dimensions in the market as of writing this review.
One caveat is that I have observed if I use HDMI to connect to my Mac I see flicker on fast movements which is annoying (dragging windows, or moving my mouse quickly so I can find the mouse and believe me this is a big monitor so you will want this not to be jittery) but with USB-C it's super great. Another cool thing is that if you do use USB-C it will charge your laptop too. So less cable hooked up to your computer!
The other fancy features on this monitor are a plus for me but not my main reason to buy BUT it's nice to have a monitor that I can turn into TV in my bedroom when the day is over and I wanna watch some Netflix!
P.S: I will update this review as my experience evolves with this monitor
