So Good I Bought A Second One
As a Product Director, I am a victim of too many browsers and too many tabs open at one time. It is not unusual for me to be working across multiple Chrome, Firefox, and Safari browsers at the same time. For my needs, working on my laptop is inefficient and annoying.I have always thought that since I am not a hardcore gamer and not a high-end graphic designer investing in a monitor wasn't worth it. I was wrong. In fact, a few days after working on the Samsung M7 monitor, I purchased a second one. My efficiency at work has seen a major improvement. In addition, having the space to have multiple windows open has been a big help on my eyes.If you own a Samsung TV, you will be pretty familiar with the layout and the settings options. The 4K picture quality on the monitor is stunning. Obviously, it works well when you are using the apps (Netflix, HBOMax, Hulu, etc.) and watching TV, but it also a noticeable difference when using work applications.I was also fairly impressed with the sound quality running through the monitor. It is not as great as if you were running high-quality external speakers, but it provides a nice full sound not typically found on a monitor.Just like Samsung's TV the selection of apps available are good and easy to set up. This allows the monitor to double as a TV (when you're not working of course). There were a few minor issues that I have experienced with the monitor, but none of them are blockers. The first is that when I was setting up both monitors, no matter what I did, it would not recognize and complete the Bixby voice recognition. I had to go back later to complete that setup. The DEX integration was a little clunky for me, but to be fair, I have never utilized DEX by Samsung, and so it may have been more user error than system error. The last thing that can get a little funky is daisy-chaining the monitors (which may not be a typical use case), but since there is a remote control to operate the monitor, it can be challenging to set one separate from the other, but I am sure with a little research, I can figure that one out.Overall these monitors are absolutely amazing. I have recommended them to all of my co-workers and my wife also wants one too (she is trying to steal my 2nd one). The price of these monitors is also amazing. I did a bunch of research, and feel confident that you won't find anything else out there with the features and specs of this monitor anywhere close to the price. Love this monitor!

USB-C input is not working at all. Don't expect to direct connect your usb-c or thunderbolt to this monitor. It is not cable quality issue, I have tried the best quality usb-c cable, just simply not working.

Eye care feature is weird. The brightness can go too dim when this feature is on. Have to switch it off, and then the monitor becomes too bright, have to do manual settings.

The remote is interferring with my another Samsung TV in the same room, very annoying. But you have to use the remote as there is no button to make any control.

    Update: Dec-2023
I have just bought a "Full feature" USB-c cable and connect my iphone 15 pmax to M7, it works and smooth.

First impressions review -- I only had this monitor for 24hrs. For the record, I paid $320 for it -- I see that the current price is $399. Bear in mind that the following takes the $320 price into account:

    **The M7 is big**
I come from Apple monitors and products. Compared to the 5K display of the iMac, which is 27", this 32" 4K feels large and far, far less pixel-dense. There are detailed debates on pixel density and MacOS online and I won't re-do one here, but suffice to say that if you are used to Apple screens post-2012, this size/resolution combo will feel lousy. You're better off going for a 27" 4K display, of which there are many, or better still a 24" 4K, which LG makes.
This means that the resolution of the M7 is a little on the low side for computer use, but as a TV (this monitor essentially converts to a TV), 32" 4K ends up being rather good. My first impression is that the M7 is best thought of as a small TV.

    **The M7 feels Cheap**
The stand is not adjustable. Everything everywhere (except for the stand's base) is plastic. No aluminum, no glass, nothing but cheap, flexy plastic. The monitor wobbles left and right as I type this review like a flag at the beach. The panel's brightness is minimal, off-axis viewing is mediocre compared to IPS panels (that's right, this is not IPS!), so if you're looking at the center of the screen, the edges are blurry (again, this is why it will be better as a TV, when you sit further out). Color reproduction is mostly good.

    **The M7 is Smart!**
The M7 is very smart, and that's really the point of it. It has a nice enough operating system that allows you to use it as a TV and use the major apps (Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Apple TV+, etc). However, it is annoying that in order to download more apps you need to create a "Samsung account", whatever that is (do washing machines need your email these days?). It has an internet browser, which looks a bit goofy and I haven't tried it. It has a remote, which is actually one of the better remotes I have used in recent days.
I had a chance to try Android TV recently and my goodness what a disaster that platform is. A spam-filled Wild West of foreign apps running on cheapo hardware. This (Tizan?) seems quite a bit better. If you just want to kick back and watch Netflix and you don't want to have a TV in addition to a monitor, this will do. And it's really the main reason for getting this monitor.

    **The M7 is a USB-C Monitor**
I find it hard to believe that it's almost 2021 and they still make non USB-C monitors. Well, this one has USB-C. Which means you can connect and charge your laptop or tablet with one cable. Hallelujah! I suppose this fact alone would make this monitor worth the price, given how poorly the competition is adopting the standard.

    THE GOOD:

-- the smarts, the decent operating system, the large TV-viewing area, ok colors

    THE BAD:

-- ultra cheap build quality, low resolution for the panel size, poor off-axis sharpness

    GET IT IF:

as a computer user you need screen real estate more than you need quality, and you want your monitor to double as a TV at night.
This is not going to be anyone's product of the year, but it has a niche and it will be great for those looking for its specific qualities.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not as bad as the reviews make it seem
Reviewed in Canada on April 8, 2021
I bought this despite all the negative reviews citing poor QC, and all sorts of power problems. I'm happy to say that, so far, I haven't had any of the issues experienced by most other users. I must've got a unit from a newer batch.

The picture is very good - not the best I've seen, but then again my internet speed is too slow for 4K content. I might have a different opinion once I see photos/videos at the native resolution. The brightness isn't great, but it's nowhere near as bad as the reviews would have you believe.

The USB hub has some quirks though. Out of the box, it wouldn't work at all. Then, a week later, it started working. Maybe a firmware update enabled it? Anyways, it ONLY works with mice and keyboards, as far as I can tell. This is a huge bummer, since I have lots of USB MIDI control devices I wanted to connect through the monitor itself. No such luck.

The smart TV features are nice, although I don't personally use them much. The speakers are surprisingly good - for built in speakers, that is. The USB C connection does charge my laptop (XPS 15).

    Overall, I'm happy with it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Un monitor balanceado
Reviewed in Mexico on November 6, 2023

    5.0 out of 5 stars Monitor / TV Streaming 32" 4K -- mejor imposible
Reviewed in Mexico on May 12, 2022

1.0 out of 5 stars It’s incredibly dim
Reviewed in Canada on March 15, 2021
    Do not purchase this monitor.

It looks great on paper and the picture would great if I could see it. I had to rate it 1 star because it’s so dim. It promises 250 nits but the brightness is like it’s set permanently at 50%. I set this up at night with regular led lighting. It was dim at night; that’s saying something. I have another Samsung space monitor 4K 32” VA 250 nits just like this but it’s night and day, almost literally.

I didn’t notice the brightness is a common problem mentioned by other users, but when I looked for it, quite a few people did say the same thing.

I looked up optimal display settings and tried to make it but a lot of settings are greyed out. The brightness is maxed out and no amount of changing settings can fix it. I tried it all. Yes changing from standard to dynamic will help, so will colour standard to cool but then everything is blue and poppy like in the 2000s. I’m in digital design, this doesn’t fly.

Other negatives: There is no display port. No headphone jack. The stand is also terrible. It teeters on 1 screw. Those reviews that say their monitor is swaying back and forth. It’s kind of an exaggeration but also, if your desk wobbles or you bump it, your monitor will wobble more. I didn’t have a huge issue, but the stand is terrible.

    Positives:
It’s cool for the TV capabilities and airplay which I wanted. 1x USB c port. Decent speakers. The remote feels good in hand and I like the shortcut buttons to Netflix and prime. Nice thin metal bezel and overall slim profile.

But no amount of functionality can make up for a dim screen. If I can’t see it then I can’t enjoy it.

    TLDR:
Con, max brightness is so dim it’s hard to see anything. Lots of other cons. Pro, it’s an aesthetic paperweight.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best 4k Monitor you can buy for the price
Reviewed in Canada on January 15, 2022
    First-week experience:
The unboxing experience was great, the monitor came in secure while light packaging considering the dimensions of the monitor. Let me debunk the biggest concern I had before buying this monitor because of the reviews I read here. This monitor is NOT blurry IF you buy the UHD. I am a software engineer mostly using this for coding and work and for what you pay this is currently the greatest value 4K monitor with dimensions in the market as of writing this review.
One caveat is that I have observed if I use HDMI to connect to my Mac I see flicker on fast movements which is annoying (dragging windows, or moving my mouse quickly so I can find the mouse and believe me this is a big monitor so you will want this not to be jittery) but with USB-C it's super great. Another cool thing is that if you do use USB-C it will charge your laptop too. So less cable hooked up to your computer!

The other fancy features on this monitor are a plus for me but not my main reason to buy BUT it's nice to have a monitor that I can turn into TV in my bedroom when the day is over and I wanna watch some Netflix!

P.S: I will update this review as my experience evolves with this monitor
