I'm a long-time Fitbit user. I started out with my all-time favorite, the One, which was totally accurate and counted stairs. I replaced it with a Zip, which was also totally accurate but didn't count stairs, and mine went through batteries fast. I owned a couple Altas, that weren't accurate at all and I hated the charging cable.
And that brings me to the Inspire, which I'm pretty happy with. I'm going to start with the things I like about it.
I like the face options and how easy they are to change, the touchscreen - once you get used to it, it's very informative and easy to use, and I like the build quality, which is much nicer than the Zip for the same price I paid for the Zip a few years ago. I guess I got lucky - the unit uses about 10% of the battery per day. I very much prefer the way the Inspire docks in its charging cable - such an improvement over the Alta clips cable! And I've always had good luck getting support from Fitbit - when I had questions about the Inspire, I used their live chat and the rep was helpful and took her time.
Now for a neutral. My Inspire is reasonably accurate but not dead on. If I take 50 steps, it'll count 54 or 47. I can live with that. My One and Zip spoiled me, but both Altas were WAY off, which made me stop using a Fitbit for a while - no sense in wearing one if the counts are off by 25% to 30% (which they were).
There are cons. My first one only applies if you're a long-time Fitbit user and are used to using the wireless dongle so your Fitbit can communite with your computer. You won't be able to use the dongle because the Inspire uses Bluetooth rather than wireless to connect. I liked syncing with my computer, but opted to just sync with my phone as you now have to create a Microsoft account in order to download Fitbit Connect.
I found the band impossible to put on, but I mostly wear it on a clip, and there are some much easier to close and more attractive third-party bands for it on Amazon. It didn't recognize me cycling, and while that didn't bother me, it's worth noting - it would have been cool if that feature had worked.
My Inspire has made me a happy camper. I like wearing a Fitbit, seeing my steps and active minutes - that's why I've owned them. I find the Fitbit dashboard info and the quick stats on the screen motivating, and while I loved my One, the display on the Inspire gives more info more easily thanks to the touchscreen. I like the menus on the Inspire itself, the touchscreen and the charger. Oh, and I think the price ($58 when I bought it) is quite reasonable and a good value. I'm glad I got it :)

Doesn't connect -solved.
Summary: Changed/raised to three stars. No more than three stars due to strange aggravating problems in the beginning. I think I will keep it but honestly I have a nice watch so this is redundant for me (read my original review to see why I have it at all). Having more than one watch face on the same arm (as a guy) looks odd. That's why I like the Flex2 because it's just a band.Update:Some problems still stand BUT...I figured out what was going on. I was staying in a hotel and there were TONS of Bluetooth device around. It seems that if there are too many devices around it doesn't connect well. This doesn't seem to be a problem in the older models. Plugged it in at my house, walked about 4 feet away and it connected/setup ok.Another couple issues I found was occasionally if the Fitbit is too close to the phone it will not connect. Also if you just did a sync and are trying to do one again it seems to wait? Other fitbits nearby might also be causing a problem with initial setup.Sleep now appears to be working (two days on Android) both at the hotel and at the house. It seems to sync data ok. Charging the phone and restarting the phone also helps I'm not sure why, probably the new Bluetooth low power protocols on new phones and Fitbit?Since I originally bought it for my wife and she can't use it because it doesn't track sleep well (on iPhone) it's not really useful to us but I can't return it.Original review:I have a few fitbits. I really like them and after my wife lost her Flex2 I thought I would surprise her with a new Inspire.Well, first it wouldn't track her sleep. They're are TONS of complaints online about this. She is on an iPhone.Then it would go dead in a couple days. Also the thing doesn't sit in the charger well and no matter what position it's in because the cable turns it and pushes it off. If the cable was not so short or the magnet stronger it would work fine.So after a couple weeks I just bought her another Flex2 which works flawlessly. I took the inspire and decided to use it. Problem is it won't connect or stay connected once it randomly finds it. I'm on a Samsung N8. She is on an iPhone. I have fitbits, Android watches, skagen hybrid and so on. This is the ONLY one that has problems second only to the Skagen which if not used for a while needs a reset.I wish I had known about the Mi Band 3 before I bought this thing. Mi Band 3 has a battery life of almost a month and it's half the price WITH the heart rate monitor ($30).I would give this Fitbit away since I can't return it but it doesn't work. Maybe I will contact Fitbit and get a replacement? Will update as I learn more.
