Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) OS

An even sweeter Jelly Bean, the Android 4.2.2 operating system's Android 4.2.2's new restricted profiles feature can be used to limit access to apps and content -- at home with your family and at work. Fast, fluid, and smooth, Android 4.2.2 offers effortless movement between home screens -- like turning the pages of a book. And it includes faster orientation changes, quicker switching between recent apps, and smoother and more consistent rendering throughout your mobile device.

Browse and download thousands of free and paid apps from around the world via Google Play or the Amazon Appstore for Android.

Restricted Profiles. Put your tablet into a mode with limited access to apps and content. For example, a parent can set up profiles for each family member, and a business manager can set up profiles that keep employees focused on work.

Built-in Security Protection. Android is designed to keep you and your data safe. Every app runs in its own sandbox, a secure space isolated from other apps. And whenever you download an app, Android can automatically scan it for viruses, checking apps against a database maintained by Google.

Expandable, Actionable Notifications. Android has always put you in control when it comes to staying notified and connected. Just swipe down from the top of the screen to see all your notifications in one place. Late for a meeting or missed a call? Take action in an instant directly from the notifications shade.

Smooth Operator. More reactive and uniform touch responses mean you can almost feel the pixels beneath as your finger moves across the screen. .

Live in the Now. With Google Now, you get the right information at just the right time -- before you even ask. It can tell you today's weather before you start your day, or when the next train will arrive as you're standing on the platform. .

Smarter Keyboard with Gesture Typing. Just glide your finger over the letters you want to type, and lift after each word. You don't have to worry about spaces because they're added automatically for you.

Beam Photos and Videos. With Android Beam, you can easily share your photos and videos.

This is one of the best phones I have ever owned. That was my initial feeling now for the review. The pros, I think, will just about even out with the cons. One pro, the size of the phone, I love large phones and screens. The IPhone is not for me, don't care how big the screen gets. Another pro is placement of the power and volume buttons, takes a little getting used to, but when you do it works. Now for the cons, the phone does not have a Microsoft card slot, so no way to increase the memory, (you've only got 32 gigs and 8 of the gets ate up with the operating sydtem, so only 24 gigs period). One other con is the text engine. If you turn on the predictive text and next word prediction, the texting will be terrible. But turn them off and it is smooth and responsive like a good expensive car which in the world of phones it is Bentley and Lamborghini expensive. Overall if you want one of those fine expensive automobiles for people to go nuts over get one. Claude

The Good: The battery life is amazing, lasting almost 2 days under heavy use. The phone is actually more manageable than most 6" phones. The curve and rounded corners seem to make it easier to hold and carry while still delivering the phablet feel. The curve actually helps the phone contour to your body, no matter if it's carried on your waist or in a pocket. The curve also adds strength, and help protect to screen when dropped. The phone is flexible, and can withstand being pushed flat for small periods of time. I loved the LG UI, and the knock feature (tapping the screen twice wakes up the device). The phone was quick and handled most tasks with ease.

The Bad: The AT&T bloatware was horrible. Constantly asking me to do backup things, even when I used a nonAT&T sim. The screen was grainy and ghosted at lower than 100% brightness settings. The power and volume buttons are places in the rear center of the phone. This was an odd positioning that I had a hard time getting used to. It also made operating them with one hand difficult. The phone also lacks an SD card slot. The battery is not easily replaceable.

Reason I put 2 stars is because phone was refurbished and it only worked for 3 months after I purchased it. I was extremely disappointed. I was so heart broken. I love LG products. Just was not fair. It's ok. I used my old phone for a bit more.

Awesome. Phone ordered by accident. I am happy. After my Samsung Mega got fried, I tried many other phones but only the LG Optimus G Pro came close. After receiving this phone I feel compete. Fast, easy to use, good display and great features. Only downside is no micro SD but with 32 gigs and Thank God, no AT&T blot apps, I got enough space. Battery is way, way better than Samsung mega and performs much better than my work issued S4 and Note 3. Great deal, awesome phone, no complaint.

Great phone. Battery life is much better than mhy Samsung S4. Huge screen. I love the dual screen mode, the quick memo function and the qslide functions. The S4 did have quick memo and qslide, but they seem to be more useful with the bigger screen. It is definitely a brick. If you are using a smaller phone, it will seem gargantuan, but it doesn't take long to get used to. It seems sturdy, but I bought a protective case anyway.

This is the best phone I have ever owned. I like it much better than the Galaxy it replaces. I read in reviews that people think the screen resolution isn't up to par but I haven't noticed it. In fact with the curve, it views in a gorgeous panoramic that I think is better. And I actually like the buttons on the back as I don't accidentally hit them when holding the phone. It is lightning fast and the battery lasts for days...literally. I don't play games or watch videos much (but I do listen to music) and I went 4 days without charging and could have gone longer. Even the guys at the AT&T store were impressed with it and this is a used phone!
