02/05/2024 I received this total gym fit from direct. First impression of packaging was good. Seemed well packaged. I then noticed some grey plastic bits at bottom of box later identified as the housing that holds card box on top of column. Top of column was bent in and damaged. A pin that holds accessories to slide bar was damaged. The grey plastic housing that helps guide the slide bar bench up and down the middle column is broken. Originally I wasn’t happy with this product and reached out to total gym direct and was told to contact Amazon. I didn’t have a good experience with total gym customer service through the phone call, but got better when Amazon communicated on my behalf. 02/13/2024 I received a replacement unit and was told to keep damaged unit. I have had a chance to do a couple work outs on this machine and was blown away by how great this thing performs. I haven’t worked out in a long time due to injuries. This thing is low impact making it a blessing to work out on. My original impression wasn’t great, but now I think I’m in love. For $500 this is worth every penny. I did get a damaged unit initially, but found that it wasn’t unusable. The company did send a replacement. Amazon really made it easy to communicate with seller. Pics are from original unit after unboxing. After a couple repairs I am using original unit. I wanted to change my review because I didn’t want to be the reason someone didn’t buy this at $500. This could be a life saver for some. Thanks for reading….

It arrived and the packaging was damaged: the outer straps had penetrated the box. But the interior was so well packed that it did not matter. This product was manufacturer dated 2021 and was brand spanking new. Absolutely no complaints. It was a risk at an incredible price of $500, but with the 30 day return guarantee there was nothing to lose. Hot deal! Very happy with this deal.

Ok. I've been looking for six months or more. And I finally pulled the trigger and got one. I think it was a good purchase. I like the versatility and the different exercises you can do that work several muscle groups at one time. It does take a little practice at first. Because the moving sled and the angles to work at require a little bit of getting used to. But you can put in a great workout in 20 minutes or less. It was shipped on time and arrived as advertised.

I love my new Total Gym Fit. I bought the refurbished one supplied by Total Gym. The Unit and parts were like new with no visible wear. This is a big upgrade over my previous total gym XL. The rubber parts were disintegrating each time I used it.

The Total Gym Fit, glides smoothly and is easy to change the positions. There was an increase in the number of levels on this model, but not that significant.

Overall, I love the Total Gym and look forward to working out!

This product allows me to exercise & stretch in my own home at my convenience without having to get out in bad weather & drive 20 miles to the nearest gym. I'm hoping to get regular use from it & encouraging my husband to use it as he sees how versatile it is.

Cannot use it. Too heavy to set up. I am 86 years old and 3rd party seller will not take back. Time limit on returns I am stuck with it and want to ship it back. Would accept offer. Amazon will not take it so it sits in my living room. I am a Prime Member and think they should give me some consideration.

I had one of the early models of the Total Gym about 30 years ago and liked it but lost the incentive to use it and sold it. It was a just novelty back then and not a necessity. Now with my significantly degraded overall physical strength from muscle loss due to a long cancer-treatment process I need a many-option easy-on-the-body versatile piece of exercise equipment to help get me back into shape using most or all muscle groups. The Total Gym came to mind as the only way to accomplish that goal with one piece of equipment while not taking up a whole room of space. I went to Amazon and reviewed many different models and tentatively settled on the "FIT" model. I did not really want to pay the $1,300 to $1,600 price tag as I would be also acquiring all of the attachments which would come to another $1,000 and more. In continuing to re-review other models I stumbled onto the "Total Gym Direct" site which showed the "FIT" model for only $550. Way TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, I thought, what's the catch? The write-up stated that most units had been returned "unopened" and after going over them to make sure everything was right repackaged with the same warranty and for resale at the significantly reduced price! Great! I had no problem with that and ordered one. When it arrived "On Time" the box was really damaged with big holes ripped from the sides exposing the Total Gym contents. I would have refused the order but I wasn't home when it arrived and wife didn't notice the packaging damage at all and so she accepted it. I also saw the description on the packaging that this was a "Signature Series Limited Edition" Total Gym FIT model?? I thought What the Hell is This? I had not seen that description given anywhere in any of the advertising. My first thoughts were that tis was a cheaper-made version of the FIT and that is really why it was so much cheaper. I got online and tried to find out what Signature Series Limited Edition was all about but couldn't find it listed anywhere on the normal Total Gym sites. I accidently stumbled onto E-Bay selling many Total Gym "FIT" models all of the Cheaper Signature Series Limited Edition $500+ models. They spelled it out specifically as "REFURBISHED" units with the full warranty! That explained it but nowhere in the original advertising on the Total Gym Direct site did it state anything about a Limited Edition Signature Series unit which is just a fancy phrase for "USED and ABUSED". If I had been informed that my unit would be one of the refurbished units with full warranty I could have easily accepted that for the lower price, but I wasn't informed. IT WAS PLAIN AND SIMPLE DECEPTIVE ADVERTISING making me think I was going to receive one of the returned unopened units (still fully new) because that was what was emphasized. not any refurbished units! Well, because I couldn't detect any damage to the exposed parts through the ripped-open box sections, I unpacked and set up the unit. Everything was complete and appeared to work upon initially moving all the movable components. I am still in the process of finding out what all this model can do but have found several things already that are not working correctly as I know they should be able to. The Glide board while smooth-running, hangs and locks up when run all the way to the top. The bottom of the board acts like it comes off the rails and jams up. As soon as you lift the bottom of the board it releases, Another board issues is that it binds up and slows forcibly just before reaching the bottom stop, squeaking and squealing, as if the rails are not parallel at the bottom. The one rail is readily observable as being welded on crooked at the front and the other rail is off as well but much less so. The Glide Board wheels can't possibly be running true flush with full-contact on the rail surfaces. Welded items like that are, or should be welded while in a fixed jig position to prevent misaligned welds so there is no excuse for that happening. The base locking pin is so sloppy that the vertical resistance-levels column has extreme play and not feeling locked or safe at all. The Glide Board when sitting sideways to do the body-twist exercises feels like the board is lifting up off the back rail since your legs are hanging way off center beyond the board. I don't know what to do about these issues. All I know is that I am not pleased with the quality of this unit and don't know what further issues I'm going to discover going forward. The last thing I want is to have to try and repackage this monster up and hassle sending it back only to get a replacement that could be much worse. Other negatives having to do with design overall and nothing to do with this specific unit is the Glide Board itself. It is way too short for "taller" people to provide both head support and simultaneous foot support while lying on back. It is a severe strain on neck muscles and nerves to have to physically hold up the head for even a few seconds much less throughout a routine and the same for the lower back with the legs hanging over cantilever fashion. I have neck and lower back spinal nerve damage and non-support is not an option. I can't believe in all these decades and all of the many models there isn't an option for a longer board or extensions available. I can't believe there hasn't been a great enough number of requests for this to have long happened. Another board related option would be the adjustable incline board to keep it parallel to the floor at all times no matter what the resistance level incline position is like on the GYM-Quality model. It is extremely awkward to do the sideways twists with one's hips cocked in such an unnatural position that throws you spine off. I think that is enough concerns given for now. I will continue to use the "FIT" and see where it takes me.

Wish I found this sooner. Substitutes an entire gym. I’d only add a pull-up/ dip station and you are set. Great quality, smooth, solid and well-built machine. The only thing it’s a bit of a pain in the butt to collapse it. It’s relatively heavy and bulky so I just keep it open all the time. Doesn’t really take that much space because of the angle anyway.
