Adjustment for “short people”:
We set the seat for the setting to “5’1” and 5’6”. It is very well marked on the bottom of the seat. For the height of the seat, I’m ok with the lowest one or two setting. We set the desktop to: slightly tilt. I can see if I set the desktop flat as shown in a few of the review pictures, it would be too high for my elbow to be ergonomically healthy or comfortable. It is true that when I type, I can’t reach the back support but so are many other regular chairs. I can either put a regular sofa cushion behind me or sit straight as I normally do.
Ergonomics:
With the above adjustment, the desk meets the ergonomics checklist as outlined by some major sources (Sources are omitted due to Amazon review rules). Some of the checklist points include: 1, The top of the computer screen is at or slightly below eye level. Your eyes should look slightly downward when viewing the middle of the screen. 2. The monitor is an arm’s length distance. 3. “The center-line of the keyboard should be level with the height of your elbow. Tilt the keyboard back 10° so that your wrists remain flat (Ergotron.com).” Well, they also suggest stand and stretch your back and arms from time to time” and the comfortable yet not Laz-boy kind of comfortable seat helps you to do that!
Operation: We’ve been having this for over a month with at least three hours of use by multiple people every day. Operation is surprisingly quiet and smooth. It is almost enjoyable to paddle. Some reviews say there are clanking noise after two or three months. So, I can keep updating my review periodically.
Comfort: The large cushioned seat is more comfortable than my regular bike seat. But after twenty minutes, I feel the need to get off and walk a bit or just stand and work, which is not a bad thing. My new sit-stand desk without manually adjusting the desk height!
The Desk: The desk is spacious. I put my 13-inch laptop in the middle, my phone on one side, and mouse on the other. My son can fit his 17-inch laptop on the desk. The armrest is a good plus.
The LCD Display: I like the position of the LCD display. It is right in front instead of hiding on the back of the desk. I don’t expect the calorie count to be accurate. I did three tests with my Fitbit and on average it doubles my Fitbit’s calculation. For example, for a 30 minutes relaxing level 3 resistance biking while typing session, my Fitbit reads around 40 calories but the bike LCD shows around 70. I’m not sure which one is more accurate. I’ll probably try different exercise settings on Fitbit later on.
Assembling: The box is very heavy. The hardware are very well-organized and well-marked by assembling steps. All tools and even two batteries are included. My two elementary school kids and I put it together within one hour.
Overall: I’ve been using this product for a week by now. I am very pleased with the design of this product. I prefer this than my sit/stand desk or stability ball seat. I don’t expect the bike desk to be my major workout but it is a nice plus to bring fitness into everyday life.

A bit of advice from long time user here; if you have been sitting on your duff or even standing at a desk for long hours and for long calendar periods…(weeks, months, years) start the first few days at a SLOW PACE and with little to NO resistance. Yeah, it feels super easy to pedal it at that speed and pace, but you WILL BE FEELING IT the next morning and then even worse the following day. (Not a personal trainer here, but please trust me that I am speaking from experience about this.) 😂
Other bit of advice, if you are competitive with your other at home coworkers, you can totally own them with your fitness mileage- desk has a built in pedometer, (you can easily catch a picture of for proof - first version of the bike here, newer Bluetooth connected versions may have an easier way to keep proof), if you are challenging someone else to see who gets the most miles in a week or whatever. (Or hey…. Bragging rights in general!)
->Last note, this is not a paid endorsement, I did not receive it for free, I’m just a really happy user. I realized today (7/21/2022) how long it has been in use thanks to Amazon’s algorithm or whatever that pointed out how long I have had it and wouldn’t I like to upgrade? (That would be a NOPE, but thanks for asking, happy with what still works for me!) Anyway, it is a really well made, easy to use product that has stood the test of time and was totally worth the money paid for it. 😊
**25 pounds for sure, I stopped checking the scale after a certain period of time.

Assembly was quite straightforward although there were a LOT of steps. The assembly guide was easy to follow and the blister pack of required parts and even tools made it simple to do. Plan on several hours to assemble.
