This is an awesome product. It is pricey, but I spent the money because I am extremely allergic to the metal used in the original silicon bands as the fastener. I got tired of coming up with tape covers, so I bit the bullet and got this stainless steel one. It has been great. It is heavy, but that doesn't bother me. It is also completely non-allergenic to me. What a relief. I am writing this review, however, because there are two crucial bits of this band that are made of plastic and therefore not as durable as the rest of the band. These are situated on either end serving as the seats into which the Alta device itself clamps. This is a vulnerability that has just fallen prey to the ravages of time. I purchased this band one year and five days ago, and one of these little plastic seats just broke, leaving the band useless. I have contacted support via chat, and find that the band is within warranty (probably just barely) and will be replaced, I just have to ship my broken band to a handling facility. I would give five stars if it weren't for these plastic parts - which could have been made of metal like the rest of the band.

Wife specifically wanted a small but pretty Fitbit (narrow width and reduced diameter) HR unit. Doesn’t care about new features or colour screens. She loves this bangle accessory bracelet. Says doesn’t even know its there yet it is on heavier side, which she likes. Stainless doesn’t scratch and is shiny.

Fitbit should never have stopped selling the Alta! We specifically had to go get a used one just so she could have the pretty bangle. Have already ordered other pretty bracelets so she can swap the look! All about accessorizing for her!

I bought this bracelet for my wife's Fitbit. It's a very attractive piece of jewelry that "dresses up" her Fitbit Alta, and she loved it. In two months, the plastic latch piece that holds the bracelet onto the Fitbit broke. As has been pointed out, this is a heavy metal bracelet that costs $100. To make it's usefulness dependent on a fifteen cent piece of plastic is stunningly poor design.

Fitbit replaced the bracelet the first time it broke. The second time, it was out of the one-year warranty. They knew that when I contacted them. I included my Amazon receipt and gave them the previous history. But, over several days, they required me to produce various documents and information that allowed them to link it to my wife's Fitbit account. Then, they had me take photos of the bracelet with a hand-written note with the case number included in the photos.

After all that, THEN they told me that they couldn't do anything about it because it was out of warranty ... something they knew from the first contact email. They suggested I buy another one. I suggested what they could do with the broken one.

Bought the new silver metal band and it is pretty sweet. Very sleek and stylish looking and a clever clasp to keep it on my wrist. I was worried at first that it was not going to fit as the box said it was a small, but with the clasp design it goes on easily and is a perfect fit. This new bad has really upgraded the look of my fitbit for the office and I'm very pleased.

Agree with other reviewers that this is not really the same color as shown in photos - more of a muddy color. That didn't bother me as much though as the overall quality which I am really bummed is poor. And gently reminder that I've only had it for a week :( I wouldn't say my wear has been tough...just to work and traveling. I am really happy with the actual device and rubber band that came with it, but this is terrible quality leather - not like anything you'd have on a watch for example.

This metal band made by Fitbit is the most gorgeous piece of electronic fitness tech I've ever seen This thing is absolutely beautiful, so well designed. It's just such a shame that it's sooooo small. I can wear it, but it's tight and I would prefer about a half inch more room, Please someone make an extender for this. I'm keeping it because even though it's tight, I can wear it, and I just can't part with it. It's so sad there's only one small size that leaves a great many women and men out of luck. I really wish Fitbit would make a true M/L size of this.
The company that sent it to me from FLA got it here by the deadline and in great condition, no complaints there.
