1 week in and I’m satisfied with the purchase. The battery life is good. It’s held half a full charge for 5 days. Learning the watch interface was a bit confusing, but after a day I knew my way around the functions. The first night I wore it it kept buzzing and dinging to give me updates and such. My wife kicked me out the bed and I quickly learned the do not disturb function. It finds the gps signal within 5 seconds. The only downside is that it takes a few seconds to adjust my mile pace and it only does it in 5 sec intervals. For instance, it may take 30 sec to show that I went from a 7 min pace to a 9 min pace. This is my first Garmin and I’m impressed.

I run about 4-5x/week, about 3-6 miles/run. This watch has been a great tool to keep me on pace.

While it doesn't have all the features of more pricey watches, this watch does the basics right: time and distance, and--paired with the great Garmin Connect app--maps and other run data. It acquires GPS quickly, and the watch itself is very intuitive to use. I've read in some professional reviews that the heart rate is not fully accurate, but it at least goes in the right direction when running (up) and cooling down (down).

I would not hesitate to purchase this watch again. It is a great tool for a great price.

This watch has been a fantastic help for me to understand my running. I am just starting out and been using the watch for every run during the last month. I love the app integration and all the display features available. I wish there were more types of vibrate patterns as every alter in the same single vibrate. It would be great if I could have one pattern for pace warnings and another for distance alters, this way I won't have to look at the watch and just know what it's telling me by the feel. With that said I would still recommend this watch to anyone starting out running.

So far I've been impressed with the watch. I was able to take it out for a run, and syncing with the Garmin Connect app seemed quick and easy. I have the app connected to my Strava, and upload went smoothly. I've seen some reviews indicate that the watch and app menus are hard to navigate. They seem to take some getting used to, but with a little exploration I've been able to find everything I needed. Accuracy seems generally good when recording a run. My daily step count is considerably lower than my fitbit shows, but I am not sure which is actually wrong (I suspect the Garmin is better at detecting steps vs. Simple arm movements. Altogether so far I've been very impressed with it, especially for less than $200.

I only needed a device to track my runs and walks. I use it to program my running workouts. I like how I can customize the screens, I normally use 2 screens depending on what run I will do that day. Watch is light and fits nice on my wrist, display is good but small (again depending on how many variables you are tracking), at night it is helpful to keep the light on, so I set it to turn on when I rotate my wrist. It might drain more battery but I charge mine every night. it is quick to grab a GPS signal, and it syncs nicely with the Garmin app on my phone. You can also change the faces of the watch or add other activity app from the IQ store, very easy to do. Battery life is good and never quit on me during a race.

I bought this watch primarily to track my training, as well as comparing my performance on race days. The GPS has been pretty reliable, although I must admit I'm still learning all th options to include associated apps and the various watch faces.
While I was a little concerned when I first put it on (because of its light weight and "mild appearance") I hoped it would hold up during my Spartan races. It's surprisingly durable and has been unaffected, having been subjected to lots of activity to include sand, mud, and water. I've only had it a couple of months so the jury is still out.
I would also definitely recommend the crystal protector.
    Happy so far!

After reading reviews, I wasn't expecting a perfect watch. So...It's performed better than anticipated and the battery has lasted longer than expected between charges (I feel like I only charge it about 1-2 x per week?

The app is easy to use. I had issues getting it to connect to strava, which was the main reason I bought the watch. But in the end, I think it was a strava issue and it got worked out. An added bonus for me was the pedometer! I never thought I would care how many steps I took. But I check this one all the time—and it makes me walk more, for sure.

This watch has a clumsy user interface when trying to intentionally activate functions. The buttons are too easily pressed so that it has changed modes and started workouts several times just from bumping against cuffs or a bag strap, etc. And when I intentionally try to use it for a treadmill or outside run 4 out 5 times it goes into "power save" mode 5 minutes or so into the run and I lose the workout record. This watch costs too much to have to waste time troubleshooting it or baby it. It should just work and it doesn't. I returned mine.

    Recomendo!
